I came across the house Parastu was getting ready in the pouring rain … I immediately thought, this is a sign of good luck (traditionally speaking)! As we went from the prepping part of the day to the ceremony space, I had the chance to witness a gorgeous Persian wedding! Being my first time photographing and witnessing a cultural wedding, I found it very admirable what the families do for this special occasion! The altar was BEAUTIFULLY decorated (understatement) and details were obviously important. So of course I had a blast taking photos of all of the details displayed out! After the gorgeous ceremony and the fabulous dinner, the dancing started! I have to say that this was probably one of the most fun thing to photograph … seriously, I wanted to join in! During the cake cutting, Kevin and Parastu had a knife dance. The knife dance involves the ladies dancing with the knife one by one and teasing the groom to hand it to him to cut the cake. Loved witnessing these traditions … especially the dancing! Enjoy looking through this preview of their special day!
Thank you so much Kevin and Parastu for our wonderful time together!!! I wish you the very best for your marriage! 🙂 xoxo
