I know we all don’t like to be superstitious, but sometimes we need to blame the day for when things aren’t going as planned. For instance… (oh boy, here we go! Lol!)

I had a sunrise session this morning which was 1.5 hours away from me. So of course, I woke up at a little before 5 a.m. and got on the road to make it there in time for the sunrise to happen. Keeping an eye on weather.com yesterday really gave my client and I confidence that this was going to work! 🙂 So I’m driving in complete darkness and all of the sudden, I feel a THUMP! I had no clue what happened … if I hit something or if something hit me … well, it was not soon after that I discovered a horrible smell of a SKUNK. Yep, I totally hit a skunk and smelled it for a majority of the ride just hoping that going 75 mph would “air out my car”! Lol!

As I continued driving, I started noticing little droplets of H20 on my windshield … hmmmm, does weather.com not know about this H20 form as we know as water?! Lol! It rained the rest of the way and it left my client and I deciding to reschedule about ten minutes before I got to my destination. This NEVER happens and I feel bad it had to be that way, but when we rely on prediction of weather to make the call it is a hard judgement. So I drove 1.5 hours back home to cuddle back in bed … naturally! 😉 Haha! Now I’m off to a GREAT day of being productive before I get this weekend really rolling! Matt and Shannon’s wedding is TOMORROW and I have two wonderful engagements planned for Sunday with plenty of final meetings between now and the end of the weekend. Busy, but not too crazy. 🙂 Plus I have an OFF weekend coming up at the end of September … and Kyle has taken that weekend off as well! So we are trying to plan out a trip … hiking and camping sounds like it might be it! Excited to go on a little adventure! So here’s to a great day after all with our sights on a positive level! 🙂

I figured Pixie was the perfect Friday the 13th mascot for today. 🙂 Haha! This is where I found her yesterday walking out of my bedroom and thankfully I had my phone on hand to capture this moment … Ohhh you know, she’s just trying to get the outdoor experience. 😉
