Justin & Lauren | Hartlands Orchard Engagement Photographer

I have known Lauren since getting my feet into the wedding industry. She is the wedding planner for Fauquier Springs Country Club and I was SO honored when she came to me about photography! 🙂 Lauren is SO incredibly sweet and has a heart of gold! She is great at what she does and I am glad to have worked with her on many occasions. This was my first time meeting Justin and I am so glad that Lauren has found her match! 🙂 Love how everything happens for a reason because the story below really shows how things just came together for them to meet!

Justin & Lauren’s Love Story

In March of 2012 I was attending my last semester at George Mason University and won a two night-stay at a hotel in Alexandria, Virginia through a group class project.

When my friend and I arrived to the hotel we didn’t know what there was to do in Alexandria but I had heard from another friend about Nicks Night Club so we decided to give it a try. We walked and headed to the bar to order a drink and then immedialty noticed there were no open seats in sight. After getting a drink they walked back around the bar when a guy stepped out and offered for us to sit at their table with him, and two other guys (one being Justin).

This is the moment when we first met. For the next hour or so we all talked and joked around. As it got a little later in the evening Justin asked me to dance and I hesitantly agreed as I am not the first to volunteer to get on the dance floor. We had so much fun doing all these different two step moves together and I was thankful that Justin had some idea about what he was doing because I was just following along. When the night came to an end, Justin asked if we wanted to hang out the next night. I agreed hesitantly because they had just met, but there was something about Justin that felt right.

We ended up spending the rest of the weekend together, exchanging phone numbers and talking everyday after that.

Justin proposed to me in September 2013 after I got back from a trip to Canada. I told him in the car ride back to his house how I had a horrible dream that he broke up with me and he just laughed about it! haha He took me out to lunch later that day and just as we had gotten our food he began to say that he wanted to talk about something. He said that I was right about my dream and that he didn’t want me to be his girlfriend anymore, he wanted me to be his wife! He then pulled out the ring and you can guess after that I wasn’t hungry anymore! 🙂
