What a way to end the busiest season yet! Last month I had six weddings and a little over 10 sessions and then ended it with this wedding the first weekend of November! 🙂 This is my last wedding until mid-December where I have three more weddings to complete before the 2014 year comes. Fortunately … and at the same time unfortunately … I am sick. I say fortunately because it came probably at the best time it could have came … right after all of the weddings are completed! So I am thankful for that! Seriously, this wedding could not have ended on a better note! Megan and Paul’s wedding was an absolute TREAT! From the venue space, to the lovely bride/groom, to the amazing wedding party, family and friends … EVERYTHING made this day one of my favorites! It was SO clear of the support the guests had for Paul and Megan and it felt so right! I feel like they are just not clients of mine, but friends … which is what I always hope and dream from my clients. 🙂
Paul & Megan’s Love Story
Both attended Virginia Tech and have previously bumped into each other. One of those “bumping into each other” moments led to having their first date together. Ever since then, they were inseparable! Since Paul came from a family living in New York, he had the grand scheme to surprise her one day … he flew down and showed up on her front step kneeling on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. Of course she said YES! 🙂Â
THANK YOU both for an incredible day!!! I am so honored to have spent it with you two, your fabulous family and friends! I will forever remember your beautiful day in Richmond for years to come. 🙂 Enjoy the preview of your big day! xoxo
Toms are the perfect reception shoe! Especially glittery Toms! 🙂

One thing I learned about Richmond … always stock up on coins no matter where I travel. I accidentally drove onto a toll road when traveling between Maymont and the John Marshall Hotel and let’s say when I saw a toll booth coming up in my vision, I started freaking out! Fortunately, I made it over to a full service booth where I can pay later! Whew! Lesson learned for SURE! Also, when getting onto whatever road it was did NOT have a sign warning you that it was a toll road. So of course me not knowing Richmond very well just got onto the road since that is what my GPS told me to do … bad idea. Richmond needs signs signifying it is a toll road exit. At least it was only 70 cents. 🙂
