I’m BACK from my week long beach trip! Although, I’m not quite mentally back in my office today as I realized that I could not budge myself to get out of bed at 7 a.m. like I anticipated. A little readjusting to do this week for sure!
Let me just tell you that this beach trip has probably been one of the most relaxing vacations I have taken in a LONG time!!! The Saturday before taking off really set me up for a relaxing time because I did not stress about packing and running out the door. After running the 5K Foam Run with my brides, I came home and got cleaned up, did my laundry, slowly packed up my bags, deep cleaned my house and pre-blogged all of my blog posts for the week! This way, I did not have to touch my blog and Facebook ONCE during the trip! I completely put social media off to the side and made every minute of my trip worth it instead of being glued to my phone or computer. Now, after everything was all settled and done at home resulted to me leaving at 8:50 p.m. with an anticipated 5 hour drive ahead of me. BUT with no traffic on the road, I was able to get there directly without any interference. 🙂 We had a part of our group on the road for 11 hours trying to get down there due to the awful traffic!!! If you are able to drive at night, I HIGHLY suggest doing this to save you time!!! I even did this on my way home and again missed all of the traffic Saturday morning created. Perfect strategy! 🙂
I ended up leaving my camera at home, so there were times where I occasionally picked up my IPhone for a photo, but at least I have something to share with you on today’s blog post from my week at OBX! We were just down the road from Kitty Hawk and the water was absolutely PERFECT!!! I’m already anxious to go back!
Group photo on the left and the lovely blue water we were able to enjoy every day on the right! 🙂
The cousins hanging out watching some sort of show on an IPhone. They are all soooo adorable! On the right … Leah made these INCREDIBLE watermelon shooters!!! Amazing!!!
I almost went an entire week without having a photo with Kyle! Glad we were able to take some time together to relax. 🙂 Thanks Leah for taking the photo and thanks Chris for the right photo!
Saturday, I had the privilege of photographing Ethan and Caitlin’s BEAUTIFUL wedding in Chevy Chase, Maryland!!! What a gorgeous day for being in the middle of July! I cannot wait to share all of their details they put together! Blog post coming this week! 🙂
Happy Monday and I hope everyone had a fabulous week last week while I was gone! 🙂
