We met up last Friday at the beautiful Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna for their engagement session. Seeing them together for the first time, I had to smile to myself as I noticed they were the perfect “puzzle piece” when they were standing next to each other. Both tall and slim but able to snug into each other’s arms for the perfect height difference in photos. 🙂 During our time together, I could not help but to laugh about how they met/got engaged because it describes them perfectly! It’s too cute … as if being high school sweethearts isn’t adorable enough! This means you HAVE to read their story below. 🙂 It’s a cute one!
Here is a first … I was positioning Andrew & Hannah when I suddenly felt like I had a shot go into the bottom of my foot. Suddenly, my foot started throbbing and I found that I stepped on a bee. Not sure if I have ever stepped on a bee in my life, but that HURT. I had to push the pain aside and continue shooting. Fortunately all of the running around was actually helping. 😉 I’ve stepped in cow pies before and almost a rattle snake during a portrait session … but never a bee! First for everything. 😉
Thank you Andrew and Hannah for an amazing time last Friday!!! CONGRATS on your engagement! Enjoy some of my favorites! xoxo
Andrew & Hannah’s Love Story
from Hannah’s perspective
Andrew and I met while we were still in high school. It was my senior year and his sophomore year. I noticed him immediately because he was new to the school and also incredibly gorgeous! I was too shy to talk to him, but noticed him every day. Soooo it became a running joke between my friends and I that he was my “boyfriend.” I talked about him to all my friends and even family! I had a huge crush on him, and everyone knew it EXCEPT him! Finally, towards the end of the year Andrew started to notice me back! I was already head over heels for him, so the rest was easy. We started dating OFFICIALLY just a short while later! Andrew found out that he had been my fake boyfriend all year, but never seemed to mind. He was flattered 🙂
In May, I was visiting Australia when my mom called me to say Andrew was going to propose soon! (There has never been any secrets in my family). I was so excited and ready to get home to him. When I got home, that’s all I could think about. I was always on edge, because I didn’t know when he would propose! I had made him promise previously that when he proposed it would be just the two of us. Finally, one night after dinner we came back to my house, and he asked me when we were alone. Once he got down on one knee, I couldn’t remember anything he said except “will you marry me?” I was ecstatic and shocked! I am still so happy to be marrying the love of my life!
CONGRATS on your engagement!!!!
