Have you ever met a couple who cannot help but to smile, laugh and just make the best of life? That couple is Kevin and Sara! As I sat in my office culling through their images, I could not help to notice how many photos of when they were kissing … those in between moments were of them smiling ear to ear as they came in close to one another! Now, THAT is obvious love! I also love the fact that they just love life! I felt so bad to hear that after they left the farm, they got stuck on the side of the road for an hour waiting for a tow truck … instead of saying something negative about that experience, she wrote that they took their time to stargaze. 🙂 Gah! How adorable are these two?! I cannot say this enough … I love my couples!!! These two are some of the sweetest people andddddd they are JMU Alumni! GO DUKES!!! Cannot wait for their big day!!!
Kevin & Sara’s Love Story
from Sara’s perspective
I was at JMU visiting a friend from high school when I first met Kevin, and there was something unusual from the moment we met – to this day, he’s the only guy I have ever given my number to. I eventually transferred to JMU where our friendship continued to grow, and by happy coincidence we ended up as next door neighbors our junior year. Our connection was always present, but for one reason or another we ignored our feelings and stayed friends. After three LONG college years (and a drop or ten of liquid courage), Kevin finally worked up the nerve to ask me out on a date.
In January of this year Kevin started disappearing every weekend, taking phone calls into other rooms, and generally acting a little stranger than usual. He kept it up for over a month, so I eventually got suspicious and figured something must be up. I’m not big on secrets, but I let it slide so as not to ruin any surprises he had planned. We took a day trip out to Sunset Hills Vineyard one sunny Sunday afternoon in February, where the plan was to spend some much needed time together. Kevin was cool as a cucumber when he suggested a walk around the winery; I had always told him I wanted our engagement to be private, and on that day the winery was particularly crowded. He finally found a secluded spot, which just happened to be in the mud, where he got down on one knee and popped the question! My response: “Oh my gosh, get up your pants are getting dirty!” To this day he claims I never actually said, “Yes”, but I think the response was implied!
Thank you Kevin and Sara for an amazing time from your engagement session to your final meeting! I cannot wait for your wedding next month! xoxo
