I sit in my office this morning reflecting this year. I feel like I’m in the middle of the craziness, yet it’s strange to think that I am on the brink of the slow season. Once the cold weather approaches, my schedule starts to unwind. In fact, I just completed two weddings this past weekend and now I have two weekends completely off until my friend gets married on October 25th!!! 🙂 Originally I had a battle of feelings regarding this “time off”. I thought, “why am I not booking one of the busiest months of the year?” God was telling me that I need to slow down. So January this year, I decided I wasn’t going to take on any more 2014 weddings. Up to this point, I have photographed and shipped out 30 weddings this year with still 4 more to go. Honestly, this year feels like it has been a whirlwind up to this point. Now I can now sit down and breathe. I have been so consumed in what has been going on that I have not been able to slow down to soak in 2014. Before I know it, it’s going to be 2016 and wondering where the time went. I don’t want to remember 2014 as being GO GO GO and not creating memories. To make the most of my 2014 fall season, I’m going to take the next two weekends off and visit Monticello with family, visit a pumpkin patch, go apple picking, wine tasting … basically, taking advantage of this fall weather and make my own memories with loved ones. 🙂
Until my next wedding the end of this month, I am going to be keeping up with sessions, emails, blogging, meetings and booking for 2015. 🙂 I’m excited to take this time to regroup myself and start planning for the next year of my business! I already have a page of “to dos” that I’m ready to conquer! For now, here are some sneak peeks of what is to come this week on the blog!
