Well this is definitely not my typical posting! One thing I do every Monday-Friday morning is sit down and use my blog as a journal of my personal and business life. I honestly wish I could sit down every Monday and hash out alllllll of the blog posts for the remainder of the week, but in cases like this I understand why I don’t do that. 🙂 It’s important to be real and speak what’s on your heart. This blog post is on my heart and mind today…
Last night, Kyle and I had a “date night” … well, kind of. Really it was just a movie night. 🙂 Anyways, we rented from RedBox “About Time” featuring the fabulous Rachel McAdams and her movie lover, Domhnall Gleeson. It was my first time seeing it and I cried like a baby at the end! I’m sure it’s really not THAT emotional, but I drank a LOT of water yesterday and I’m sure my body was just trying to get rid of the excess. 😉 If you haven’t seen the movie, grab your hun this weekend and curl up on the couch to watch this. It’s so sweet and humbling. This movie has a really great message … you only have one chance every day to make it unregrettable and the best day ever! Not just for yourself but for those who surround you. We live this rushed life and rarely will sit and soak in the small moments. I say go out of your way to make someone else’s day! Not only will you have done something from the goodness of your heart, but you may have changed that persons day. 🙂 This could be as simple as opening the door for someone or paying for the next Starbucks order behind you or complimenting a stranger’s outfit … really, those little moments will make someone smile and share their cheer to another. 🙂 Like a domino effect! Carry the happiness and unselfish acts of kindness!
I get frustrated that I will go from the mindset of appreciating life to catching myself taking everything for granted. We need to REMIND ourselves to be thankful each and every day because life is way too short! I know that we live with our cell phones, so I decided this morning to create this wall paper for my IPhone to remind myself. 🙂 Feel free to take it for your own use so you can also remind yourself to appreciate others and life. HAPPY FRIDAY! xoxo
