We are officially in the final countdown to 2015! It seems like it was last month when I opened my calendar for booking 2015 weddings and now it’s here!!! This year has been a great adventure in my personal and business life and I have to give credit to my couples and portrait clients. 2014 is my first year where I did not have another job on the side and I can honestly say that I have never been more happy! Last year I remember the struggles I was going through trying to balance a full time job on top of my photography business. I came into 2014 with a new state of mind and ready to pour everything into my business. I had 33 gorgeous weddings this year and every one of them will stay close to my heart. I look at these highlight photos above and see the memories my couples and I have created together. Memories I will never forget!
Thanks to my portrait clients for being so flexible this year! I remember last year juggling six sessions a week, with many of them being over the weekend. I knew if I kept that pace I would burn myself out. This year I made it a point in my business goals to only book 2-3 sessions a week during the weekdays. This has been a whirlwind of a difference!!! I was able to 100% dedicate myself to the wedding I had booked that weekend and take the day before or after mostly off to catch up with family/friends and relax. I look forward to making even more revisions to my business life for 2015 and the years to come. 🙂
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support my business! I can admit that it is NOT easy being a one person business owner since there are soooooo many components that easily could be split between five additional workers, but you all keep me going! 🙂 This coming year I want to figure out a way to simplify by business, but before I get to that point I will continue to work on my branding and start booking for 2016 weddings starting tomorrow!!!! Can you believe that number? 2016 seems crazy to me because that will mark five years since graduating JMU… geez!
I cannot say thank you enough, but really I do not have the words to express how much this means to me. I will continue to work my 100% best all because of your support! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! xoxo
