Do you know how easy it is to be sucked into your office over a “free” weekend? This past weekend was one of my last available weekends before wedding season kicks in and I made sure to put all business aside. Although, some of my current projects looked extremely tempting!!! 😉 Thursday, I came down with a random fever so I knew after recovering that this weekend called for some “time off”. I intensionally didn’t plan a thing and went with the flow of whatever came my way. 🙂
I spent my Saturday with my mom in her sewing room. These are memories I will forever cherish. I am FINALLY tackling the sewing projects you all voted for months ago … can you say about time? 🙂 Cannot wait to finish them!!! I’ll be sharing on the blog once they are done. :)))) Sunday was interesting because Kyle and I had no plans that afternoon which is unusual for us and it ended up being so much fun! If the weather was much better, no doubtably we would have spent the day outside hiking, picnicking, wine tasting or whatever. SO ready for the warm sunshine!!! We stayed indoors but still wanted to go out and about. So we ventured into Warrenton to thrift stores and had a delicious lunch together at Great Harvest! After our little adventure, we came home and played chess and had a movie night. Overall, this weekend may not sound exciting but it was the perfect dose of relaxation!!!
Super random, but I submitted some images to this HUGE contest through Shoot & Share and found out that one of my family portraits placed EIGHTH out of about 6,500 images in its category!!!! What an incredible honor. I wanted to take a moment and thank you ALL for voting!!!! I don’t always have the chance of photographing family lifestyle photos, but I adore getting to know their fun personalities!!
Portrait season is picking up and I’m excited to get back into my typical groove here on the blog!
