I thought about this time last year we were finally seeing life of spring. Well, we tried to bundle up for this weather but we had NO clue we were basically going to be in winter conditions with the wind chill! I guess because we were on top of a mountain taking photos, it was inevitable that we were going to be standing in the cold. It’s that time of the year where you want to wear cute spring clothes but the evenings are still too chilly for it โฆ I’m glad that Brian and Courtney wore their spring attire for their engagement photos because it won’t be long before we have 70 degree weather and stick around! ๐ Honestly, you cannot even tell that we were in 30 degree weather looking through these photos! Brian and Courtney squeezed onto each other so tight keeping each other nice and warm withย effortless smiles. I’m finally excited to share their engagement session with you all today!!! Who would have known that a set up blind date would lead to a wedding now just months away?! ๐
Brian & Courtney’s Love Story
How they met:
We met on a blind date that was set up by a mutual friend who used to live with Brian’s sister. We were both reluctant at first to agree to this blind date, but we ultimately decided to trust our friend and give it a shot. Brian called and asked Courtney to go to dinner at Liberty Tavern in Arlington. That night Brian picked Courtney up from her apartment and even dropped her off at the door at the restaurant since it was raining. This was followed by a few more dates and then rest is history. ๐
The proposal:
It was the day before Thanksgiving and Courtney and Brian had made plans to go out to dinner that night before spending time with their families for the holiday. During the day Brian’s sister, Rachel, told Courtney that she had two gift cards for manicures and asked if she wanted to go with her. Brian was getting baptized on Thanksgiving and told Courtney that he had to go to a meeting at the church during the afternoon. They decided that Courtney would go with Rachel during his meeting and they would meet up after to go to dinner.
Little did Courtney know, while they were getting manicures, Brian was at his parents house setting everything up. After getting their nails done, Courtney and Rachel went to Starbucks because Brian told Rachel that he still wasn’t ready. Once Brian gave his sister the go ahead Rachel told Courtney that they had to stop by her parents house to drop off potatoes. Once there, Rachel asked Courtney to get the key for the house around back. So, Courtney went around back and found Brian standing at the bottom of the steps surrounded in candles, lights, and rose petals. Both families were waiting across the street and all came over to celebrate after! ๐
Thank you Brian and Courtney for baring through the cold weather!!! You both looked fabulous even while shivering. ๐ I cannot wait for your wedding day this fall!!! Enjoy some of my favorites! xoxo!
It was windy but I loved the movement of Courtney’s hair throughout the session. ๐
