I hope everyone had an AMAZING Easter!!! This weekend has been the busiest weekend of 2015 yet! Whew! Loved spending time with family and friends and celebrating the reason of our gathering. He has risen!! 🙂
After months and months of planning, Brandy came HOME from Africa!!! She has been over there for 18 months and was able to come surprise her parents all thanks to everyone who helped raise money … more importantly, a HUGE thanks to Rachel for the idea and for raising the money! After picking up Brandy from the airport Friday afternoon, we didn’t waste any time and went straight to our friend, Penelope’s house. Her family absolutely SPOILED us to death with food … and more food … and more amazing food! It was a great way to welcome Brandy back to America. 🙂 The following day, I thought it would be fun for us to get dressed up and go to a horse race. We had sangria and fun little appetizers while enjoying the beautiful spring Saturday. Afterwards, I took her to see the Messicks Farm Market and buy some goodies! 🙂 Not to mention … we HAD to stop by MooThru and pick up some amazing ice cream!!!! We headed back to my place for Brandy to be surprised by some friends for dinner. It was SO sweet to see her reaction! We drank wine, ate yummy food and played Telestrations! Yesterday, she surprised her parents at their Easter family gathering! I cannot wait to hear about their reaction! What a great way to take advantage of her short time here. 🙂
