I knew of Jessica back in high school. I want to say we had AP Calculus together or one of those classes … I honestly don’t remember because it has been over eight years. Jeez. It was great switching up the atmosphere and photograph at the beautiful Molon Lave Vineyards and Fauquier Spring Country Club golf course. Taylor is a big time golfer so it was fun learning some things about golfing, including etiquette. I recently watched the huge golfing tournament with my grandparents while they were visiting but the golfing channel doesn’t teach you these things. Currently, I’m waiting for an email from Jess saying that Taylor went pro. 😉 Haha! It will happen one of these days, I have faith! It’s funny chatting with these two because they have a great sense of humor. I had an absolute blast during our short time together and I cannot wait to spend their wedding day with them, their families and friends in the OutterBanks … without sharks please!
Taylor & Jess’s Love Story
How they met:
Taylor was roommates with one of Jess’s good friends’ boyfriend. They “officially” met at a Halloween party at Virginia Tech but since Jess was dating someone else, Taylor ignored her. Several months later, they went out to a bar in Blacksburg with some friends. Even though Jess was still in that same relationship, Taylor talked to her a little more and they started to get to know each other. Taylor was really impressed when Jess picked the tab up for everyone. A few weeks later Taylor’s sister came to visit and they all went out again. That’s the night where it ‘clicked’ for them. They played pool, talked all night long, and realized they had very similar interests. Eventually Jess’s relationship ended so they could hang out every day. The rest is history.
The Proposal:
It was a Wednesday in the beginning of Jess’s last year in college. Taylor had agreed to make dinner (for the first time ever) since Jess had classes at night. When she came home, the table was set (shrimp tacos!), dinner was ready, and he even had a glass of wine waiting for her. He was unusually quiet during dinner but it was so delicious and she was so impressed that she didn’t think anything of it. After dinner, Jess cleaned the dishes while Taylor took the dog out. Eventually he walked over to her in the kitchen as she was finishing up the dishes. She was anxious because he looked so nervous that she playfully threw a dish towel in his face. He didn’t even realize she did that, instantly got down on one knee, and pulled out a ring as she exclaimed, “REALLY?!.” He kept it short and sweet. “Will you marry me?” She replied, “of course.”
Thank you Taylor, Jess and your adorable pup for a fun time together … even if your pup had a little toooooo much fun. 😉 Haha! I cannot WAIT for your beach wedding in a couple months! AH! It’s going to be amaazzzinnnggg! Enjoy some of my favorites! xoxo!
Well … you know how the story goes when a dog is sitting next to a huge puddle of water. 😉
I had to laugh when I was taking this photo because we found a golf ball and as I was taking the photo, I noticed that the ball is branded as “Taylor Made” … it was meant to be. 😉 Haha!
Adorable!
Counting down to your wedding day!!! xoxo!
