Ten days at the beach flew by in just a snap of a finger. So many incredible sunsets, laughs, and good times. But I really think that the beach can leave that impression because it’s so soothing to the soul. Even better? I unplugged and left my computer at home and used my cell phone sparingly. In fact, my cell phone was at 80% battery life by the time I went to bed when it typically dies during the day! If you haven’t visited Chincoteague Island in Virginia, add it to your list. š It’s a beautiful, and relaxing little beach town! See for yourself below!!!
I kicked off the vacation by camping for 4 days at the Chincoteague Island KOA. It ended up being a way better experience than the last time I camped there (three weeks prior) because it rained the entire time. And unfortunately, when it rains, the mosquitos come out since it’s a lot of marshy land. But this time, it was perfect conditions with minimal mosquitos! And I was visiting during the famous Pony Penning which is a sight to see. After camping, we stayed at a beach house with family ā I’m so tempted to buy a beach house after watching HGTV shows. š
Chincoteague Island, Virginia Vacation Highlights
I loved running on the beach during the sunrise. š
Group photo! with the beautiful sunset! This was the one time I brought out my camera and I’m glad we made these quick photos happen ā¦ I’m not kidding, we did all of these photos in 10 minutes! Great job everyone!
My heart swelled with joy taking this cousin photo on the right. After snapping quick photos of the kids, I turned around to see all of the mommies tearing up. What a sweet moment and photo of the cousins together!
We ended the night by the campfire on the beach with Chinese lanterns. So cool but pretty tricky on the beach!
Final evening in Chincoteague ā¦ I’m already missing these gorgeous sunsets!
Some of the most amazing sunsets happen at the beach. <3 If you haven’t visited Chincoteague Island, Virginia, add it to your list (especially if you live in Virginia)!
