Can I start off by saying that I am SO thankful I didn’t have to go through the same traffic Jacob, Kirsten and I had to go through for their engagement session on their wedding day? Haha! If you remember, we did their engagement session in DC for Cherry Blossoms without knowing of a HUGE race happening that same morning. Oh what a learned lesson! 😉 We briefly joked about that on their wedding day, but fortunately everything went smoothly on their wedding day! The day started at Kirsten’s lovely home where Kirsten and the girls shared their excitement leading up to the big hour. After Kirsten was dressed and ready to go, it was time to head to Harbour View to see her soon-to-be-husband! 🙂 Jacob was hanging out with the guys doing what typical guys do on a wedding, hang out. Can I just say how easy the men have it the day of? I have many groom/groomsmen who get to go golfing, workout, play games, drink, etc. while the girls have been prepping for HOURS. Jacob saw Kirsten and was in awe over her beauty! As they soaked in the time together before the ceremony in each other’s arms, I could not help but think how sweet they are together. It was finally time to get hitched!!!
They had a lovely ceremony by the river with sight of boats in the backdrop. A light breeze came through the open side of the building creating the perfect atmosphere for everyone. I wish this weather for every wedding! After they were pronounced husband and wife, they went off to celebrating with their wedding party and immediate family sharing many hugs and cheers! Their portrait time had the perfect even lighting I have been waiting for all day. 🙂 The water looked so serene and with the pink sky, it made for a great time together! We even involved Kirsten’s brother where he had the chance to learn how to throw his sister’s veil for a photo. Haha! Then finally, it was party time! I knew this was going to be a fun group when I heard people singing to Sweet Caroline during dinner time! The guests definitely kept that promise of a great time because the dance floor was packed the entire night showing off moves I have never seen before! It was the perfect celebration for Jacob and Kirsten. 🙂 CONGRATS!!!!
Thank you Jacob and Kirsten for a memorable day Saturday! You two are beautiful inside and out and I cannot thank you two enough for everything! Enjoy your well deserved honeymoon and enjoy some of my personal favorites from your wedding. XOXO!
I even had the chance to join in on a JMU Alumni photo! GO DUKES!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
