Donald and Sarah have known each other for TWENTY YEARS. Yes, you read that correctly. They started out as best friends and over the years began the journey of dating, which led to Saturday. 🙂 It was so fun to hear stories of Donald and Sarah in their dating years since they pretty much know EVERYTHING about one another. I would say after twenty years, I believe that! 😉
Their fairytale day began at the Inn at Vint Hill in Warrenton, Virginia. We were so fortunate to have a pretty mild day considering it was November and the sun was hiding due to the rain that occurred earlier that afternoon. Luckily, to be able to run outside for photos as we hoped the rain wouldn’t continue throughout the day. When I first walked in to greet Sarah, I overheard her saying how she was in disbelief that she had her hair done up and professional makeup. She looked spectacular!!! Once she put on the dress, she stood in front of the mirror in shock. She says this is a very rare occurrence to be all dolled up, after all, she loves being on the horse farm. 🙂 As she walked towards the window to place on her mother’s ring, tears filled her eyes. It was hard for everyone in the room, including me. Her mom’s spirit was there, especially in that moment. The bridesmaids all cheered for Sarah as they could not get over how beautiful she looked.
Donald and Sarah decided to have a first look together since the sun would be gone by the time the ceremony ended. As they had their intimate moment outside, you could see eyes from both levels of the house peering out … of course the wedding party was interested. 😉 Haha! After wrapping up photos outside, it was time to get hitched! It was darling to see Donald and Sarah’s little boy running around the ceremony. Clearly, he’s loved by many as everyone reached for him as he made his way around. Haha! Sarah’s brother explained during the ceremony that when Sarah was born, she had what the doctor’s explained as a “bad heart” (complications, that is). Why I found it interesting is because Sarah has one of the biggest and sweetest hearts I know! I continuously say to her that I am grateful to have met her and Donald because it has been a true blessing. 🙂 I’m so glad that she was able to work through the complications when she was young so she could meet her best friend and have this celebration! Donald and Sarah are SO fun together! Big smiles, genuine laughs, good hearts … Could not be a better match. So happy for your two!!!
Thank you Donald, Sarah, family and friends for a FABULOUS time on Saturday!!! What a fun bunch! I am blessed to have met you all through this exciting time. A HUGE CONGRATS!!!!
