HELLOOOOOOO 2016! I hope everyone had a wonderful time bringing in the new year!!! There is always something so great about a new year … New beginnings … A chance to hit “refresh”. Definitely a great motivation to make improvements, whether it’s involves finances, health, religion, habits, etc. I thought I would write out some things I’m looking forward to this year because there is already so much excitement in the air!!!
Exciting things to look forward to this year:
* MOVING into my new house in February!!! AH!
* Going to Hawaii with my family! Visiting the Big Island and O’ahu! Any suggestions where to go/what to do while we are there?
* Going to Las Vegas the end of this month to photograph one sweet, dear family I love!
* Attending Creative @ Heart Conference in March as a panelist! AH! Excited and nervous at the same time!
* Hawaiian wedding in June! My heart might jump out of my chest!
* Met my wedding booking goal for this year! This means I can pay my bills with relief. 🙂
Personal Resolution:
I could say the typical, “eat healthy, exercise, etc.”, but this year I want to strive for something far beyond myself. I want to continue strengthening my relationship with God. Continue attending church, building relationships with the church community, studying scripture, worshiping and praying.
Business Resolution:
Continue to strive for genuine relationships with my couples. 🙂 And of course the motto for this 2016 year, SIMPLIFY my workflow!
Business Goals — The Year of Simplifying
* Revamp blog design
* Revamp website design
* Tweak pricing guides (Portrait & Wedding)
* Simplify booking workflow … Thank you HoneyBook!
* Simplify client print credit orders
* Finish backing up weddings (online) <= Moving into my new house in February with actual internet is going to change my WORLD!
* Send out End of the Year Surveys to 2015 brides
* Put together a styling kit for weddings and portrait sessions
* Finalize tax paperwork for CPA
* Revamp editing presets* Revamp client gifts
* Order packaging materials and start prepackaging for the year
I’m fortunate enough where I have been able to jump start on this list before 2016 even arrived. There is so much I want to focus on with my big move coming up in February, so I’m trying to get a good grip on this winter to do list so I’m set for the year. Lucky for me, my wedding season doesn’t start until April so that gives me the perfect amount of time to make sure I’m settled! 🙂
I loved bringing in the new year by photographing a dear, past couple of mine! <3 They are the sweetest! Cannot wait to share more from our hometown, Warrenton! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
