I HAVE INTERNET!!!!!! Okay, this might sound deceiving because I have obviously used internet to do my business work … But really, this is life changing! Throughout my business life of four years, I have not had “real” internet. Meaning the internet I was using was at the highest 10mbps AND there was a cap off for the amount of uploads/downloads (10GB a month during the day // 10 GB 2 a.m.–7 a.m.). This meant it was basically impossible for me to do anything else over my typical daily emails/blog posts. Every edited wedding is about 8 GB so one wedding would be just about the end of my month! Living out in the country has it’s pros but this was definitely a huge con for me. Once a week, I had to schedule time to drive out 20 minutes away to a local library. During that time I was able to upload vendor photos, submissions, back ups of my edited photos as well as my client galleries. You can only imagine how time consuming this would be that I could not do these tasks on my own time … Or while I was sleeping! I even realized that the library has it’s own cut off on data usage as well, believe it or not! Say if I did a double header wedding and I was trying to upload two wedding galleries, it would only upload 1.5 of the galleries before the internet cut off. This made it seem like they had a 10GB limit for the day per computer. Since I moved 10 minutes away from my family to “civilization”, I was given the option to have Comcast internet (my poor family was told Comcast will never reach their area) with UNLIMITED 150mbps … WHAT?! What does that even feel like?! Lol! I have not truly tested the speed quite yet since I’m in the midst of moving but this is life changing to my business and my personal sanity! 🙂
Things are going to start quickly picking up between conferences, sessions, weddings and travels! Trying to take on my to do list one day at a time with moving … but WHEW, it’s exhausting!!!! I’m covered in bruises from moving last Thursday! The following morning I felt like I was hit by a truck so I came to the consensus that this time is the last time I move my stuff! Next time … MOVING COMPANY! I was trying to be wise with my spendings since I wanted to put that money towards decor/furniture but goodness, this is my seventh time moving and I’m not getting younger that is for sure. 😉 Otherwise, moving was a success thanks to Kyle for helping!!!!! I literally could not have done it without him! Everything is slowly but surely coming together and I cannot wait to be settled! Besides the moving progress, I am staying active with business work behind the scenes. 🙂 I managed to not only move last week but also take on two engagement sessions! I’m not sure how but it was actually SO good to get out and run around with these two SWEET couples!!!! Looking forward to sharing more this week!
