I just want to shout out to my beautiful mother as today is her Birthday! Not just that, but last week we celebrated my grandmother’s 75th birthday while she was visiting. 🙂 What a great way to end this month by celebrating the two beautiful women in my life!
I scheduled my house warming party to happen while my grandparents were able to fly in for the occasion. Fortunately, while they were in town we were also able to celebrate my grandmother’s 75th birthday! What she didn’t know was the big surprise my grandfather set up to make sure she had the best birthday yet. Seriously, they are the CUTEST. The plan was all set to surprise my grandmother by having an unforgettable dinner. A few of us arrived early to set up the 75 fresh roses provided by Shelley’s Floral (her favorite flower of course). She knew she was going to Foti’s for dinner but she had no idea what Frank or grandpa had planned. 😉 My grandmother walked in to Foti’s seeing her family and best friends waiting for her. She was completely shocked! We all sat down around the birthday girl and my grandfather brought over a big box. After all of the unwrapping, she found a small box with a GORGEOUS custom ring just for her. I felt like I was watching a proposal! Haha! It was seriously the cutest thing seeing how much in love they are even to this day! Who wouldn’t want to see that? After the excitement eased, Frank started the seven course meal by sharing some unique dishes with wine pairings especially made for the occasion. They were ALL incredible! The night ended with Cafe Torino‘s amazing raspberry mouse cake which was on point! It was truly a night we all will never forget. <3
These are just IPhone quality photos so I guess this means that next time I need to grab my camera! 😉
A photo from when my grandmother was opening up her ring. Hahaha! So cute!
If you have never heard of Foti’s or Cafe Torino, be sure to go check them out!!!! Some serious talent in the Warrenton/Culpeper area!!!
Now that we celebrated my grandmother’s birthday, my mother celebrates hers today! It’s crazy to think of the years that have gone by and how much has changed. To think she had me almost 28 years ago … Oh my gosh, I don’t want to even say that number!!! She owns a very successful quilting business with her friend while staying active with DAR and maintaining the farm finances, I don’t know how she does it! She loves what she does and more importantly, loves to make others happy! I hope we can return that happiness today as we celebrate her birthday. 🙂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Let’s celebrate with some wine tonight!!
