You all are in for a treat! I seriously had way too many favorites so it was basically impossible for me to narrow it down easily. Photo overloaddddd! Sorry, but not sorry. 😉 Fortunately, these two gave me free range with the timeline for photos because they enjoy photography! Love that! You might remember these two from their engagement session last year because of their awesome teal truck! They brought the truck out for photos as well as their gift station! After all, it was Sean’s grandfather’s truck so it is definitely a beautiful family heirloom! Speaking of sentimental details, the vanity in Kelsa’s prepping space was Sean’s great grandmother’s vanity and it was the perfect little spot for getting ready portraits. 🙂 Kelsa incorporated the memory of her own grandmother by attaching a little hummingbird to her bouquet. Loved ones were definitely there in spirit!
The venue was a special place to Kelsa and her family. After all, the wedding took place in their back yard! I’ll be dreaming over that mountain view for a long time. 😉 The ceremony was positioned perfectly facing the most beautiful view! Speaking of the ceremony, they had a flower baby goat that had to be carried down the aisle (*heart melt*). The groomsman carried a wooden ring box that was handmade by Kelsa’s grandfather. Very talented!! The altar was decorated with their bohemian, natural theme of antlers and bird feathers. I know that Sean’s boutonniere actually incorporated features from a bird he shot! Great way to tie in the groom’s passion into the details. 🙂 When everyone saw Kelsa walk down the aisle, everyone was in awe because of how beautiful she looked. I think you’ll definitely agree!!! Her dress by Essense of Australia was just so unique, yet perfect for their style of wedding! I could easily photograph this wedding over and over again. 🙂
Kelsa and I immediately connected over a year ago over the fact that she was a lover of purple and gold (GO DUKES!)! Even though she was still attending JMU while planning this wedding, she seemed like she had everything under control! In fact, she even managed a surprise during the reception by singing Etta James’ “At Last”. How BOLD! Seriously, she gave me chills when she sang the first word!!! HAHA! I had no idea her little body had that talent! Oh and if you looked over at Sean, he was BEAMING ear to ear with pride, as you will see in the photo below!! The party continued late into the night with a celebration no one will ever forget. 🙂
Thank you Sean, Kelsa as well as your family and friends for a wonderful time Saturday! You all were so welcoming and kind. 🙂 SO happy for you and it’s hard to believe that your wedding day came and went by so fast! I remember our initial meeting together last year chatting about these exciting details. Everything came together beautifully and it was a fabulous celebration! Enjoy a sneak peek from my eyes!!
