It wasn’t that long ago since Chris, Natalie and I met up in downtown Richmond, VA for engagement portraits. I remember it was a little chaotic because I was in the midst of moving but it was nice to get away from the chaos and photograph this sweet couple! When we had our initial meeting, they mentioned that there was a possibility (you just never know in the military if you are going to be switched at the last minute)ย that Chris would be stationed in Hawaii. Turned out that I was going to be 45 minutes away from them while I photographed Dave and Hanaa’s wedding!! They expressed interested in hiring me to do couples portraits since Hawaii was going to be their new home. Why not document this new adventure on the gorgeous island of Oahu, Hawaii?! We had planned to make this happen while I was visiting and I could not wait to hang out with them before my departure back to the mainland! They love Hawaii so much that they considered for a moment to have the wedding there on the island, but logistics worked out better to stay at home. ๐ I’m looking forward to their Brandy Hill Farm wedding this fall with their family and friends!!
We made sure to make the most of the time together! In fact, we met up earlier that day to hike a pretty dangerous and EXHAUSTING hike called Koko Crater Trail! 1,000 steps up and a 1,000 steps down. Down was just as challenging as going up in a different way. Either way, I’m glad we conquered it for my first official hike in Hawaii! Hopefully many more to come in the future. ๐ย The afternoon was spent at the prettiest beach I have ever step foot on and then we met up later that evening for their sweet portraits. ๐ I have been anxious to share these with you all for a while!!! Afterwards, we spent the night chatting, drinking some beers and eating Boston pizza! It was appropriate since Chris is from Boston. ๐
Cannot WAIT for your wedding day in November, Chris and Natalie!!! Thank you for having me document this time of your lives!! SO MUCH FUN! xoxo!!
