Cameron and Haley’s session happened less than 24 hours ago but I cannot help but to share these photos before I depart for Cape Cod on Monday. 🙂 I have photographed in downtown Culpeper many times so when they decided to have their photos there, I was excited to explore and adventure new spaces! I strive to create personalized experiences for each of my couples and we managed to find some new pretty spots along our travels. They were complete naturals in front of the camera since they have had professional portraits taken in the past. Made my job easy. 🙂 They are sweet, soft and also playful so I wanted to capture that personality during our time together. Cameron and Haley brought their sweet little boy, Tristin, who was able to pop in throughout our time together. 🙂 He was so cute with his big blue eyes!! Even though he wasn’t in front of the camera for very long, he sure knew how to make our hearts melt quickly when he smiled! Cannot wait to see what role he will take on on their wedding day. 🙂
CAMERON & HALEY’S LOVE STORY
How Cameron and Haley Met
from Cameron’s perspective
Haley and I worked at the same restaurant, Francesco. Since I worked normally in the mornings, they wanted me to train her since she was new. I was 45 min late to my shift, so needless to say, she hated me the first day we met. I did everything I could from that point to make things right with her since I had worked with her mom for a few years. We ended up working more and more together and she opened up to me about things in her life but never gave me her number or anything. So since we were friends on Facebook, I started talking to her on there. I know that is not the best way to communicate, but any way I could talk to her was great for me. Haha! From there, it wasn’t long before I discovered she was my best friend and soon-to-be-wife. I could go on and on about this girl but to sum it all up, I found the girl of my dreams and a woman who would put everything on hold, including her personal hopes, dreams and goals just for our child. Our love goes beyond each other. People say having a kid is a bad idea before you are married but it shows you who a person really is and how they can adapt. She is an incredible mother and I love and respect her more than words can describe.
How Cameron Proposed
from Haley’s perspective
Our proposal is probably a little bit different from your typical proposal to say the least. Haha! I was eight months pregnant and we were expecting our first little boy.  🙂 Cameron decided to propose to me on April 1st or April Fools Day which was also the day of our maternity session, conveniently. Hehe! Our photographer was aware of the proposal, I on the other hand had no idea! I had even checked his pockets prior to taking pictures (he had the box hidden in his sock)  just to be sure! As we were taking pictures I noticed as Cameron got into some of the poses, he seemed uncomfortable but I figured it was just because he hated pictures. Haha! As our photo shoot was coming to an end, we stepped on to this beautiful bridge overlooking a little pond with ducks floating along. As the photographer was taking the beautiful picture, I was not paying attention to Cameron who had managed to maneuver to the kneeling position with a tiny box propped open. As I turned, my mouth dropped. I was so stunned and then I was hoping this wasn’t an April Fools Day joke as he asked me to be his wife. Haha! I managed to get out a “YES” as the shock was still rattling through me! 🙂  It was one of the best days ever and I will forever remember that moment for the rest of my life <3
Thank you Cameron and Haley for a wonderful time together last night!!! Cannot WAIT for your spring wedding next year! It’s going to be so much fun! Enjoy a preview from our time together!!! CONGRATS on your engagement! xoxo!
