Jon & Hope | The Inn at Kelly's Ford, Virginia Summer Wedding

I cried like a baby … The moment the horse and carriage came around the corner, it was like a fairytale! Absolutely gorgeous!! There was not a dry eye as I looked around the ceremony. All emotions were high from the anticipation just waiting for the bride to arrive. Hope stepped out from the carriage to walk to her prince charming with her dad in her arms. Before this point, she had admitted how nervous she was for the ceremony but by the way she walked up to Jon seemed as if no one else was around. They locked eyes and they knew within minutes, they would FINALLY be pronounced husband and wife after two years of engagement/six years being together! The vows they declared to one another were so heartfelt and genuine. They made their promises and even managed to squeeze in some funny jokes. Before we knew it, they were able to share their first kiss as a married couple and then were quickly carried away in the horse drawn carriage. So romantic!!

Reflecting on our journey together over the past 1.5 years, I loved seeing where our paths have crossed. One main coincidence was when we found out we were going to be neighbors! It has been a great six months living in this community and even though we are super busy, we manage to run into each other once in a while when they are walking their sweet pup, Maggie! 🙂 Cannot wait to hand deliver their wedding package! 😉 Haha! The pros to living next door. I have to admit that photographing Hope’s details (especially her Manolo shoes) started the day on a high note! From the detail photos to the ceremony entrance and trying to memorize the “Biker Shuffle” during the reception (I’m going to learn it!!!!), this wedding is one of my favorites from this year. 🙂 I had the BEST time and everyone was sooooo great and friendly!

CONGRATS, Jon and Hope!!! Cannot believe that this journey with you two started over 1.5 years ago in my office. So much has happened since our initial meeting together and I could not be more grateful for you in my life! Looking forward to many more memories together as neighbors. 🙂 Love you both!
