It’s hard to believe that Saturday was my first time meeting Josh and Sam! The day flew by so fast but I had the great joy of getting to know them throughout our time together. 🙂 What I didn’t realize was how long this day was anticipated … Eight years of dating! That’s a long time!!! Glad this day was a fairytale for the both of them. 🙂
Saturday was the perfect fall day for a wedding. The trees were starting to turn throughout the week allowing us to capture some of the fall colors! After getting ready for the ceremony, they headed to St. Johns where a flood of memories came back to life as I walked into the church. After all, I grew up attending the church and school. They even had the same singer from when I was younger there singing for Josh and Sam’s wedding! They had a beautiful ceremony, and because they had a 2 p.m. wedding, we had two hours to photograph before the reception began! Super ideal for photos! 🙂 We took our time shooting a few portraits at the church and then headed to Alwyngton Manor to photograph the wedding party, Josh and Sam’s pictures and the reception details. It was nice to relax, breath, walk around and enjoy the surroundings while not feeling “rushed on time.”
Everyone gathered at 5 p.m. for the cocktail hour where Josh and Sam had the opportunity to benefit from the time with their guests as well as the food/drinks. Another bonus! It wasn’t long before I realized that Sam’s grandmother was the life of the party. She kept many at the reception (including myself) entertained the entire night with her contagious laugh/smile. 🙂 After hours of mingling and dancing, the reception ended with a peanut throw (that’s a new one! Haha!). Overall, it was a beautiful celebration and I’m thankful
Thank you, Josh and Sam, for a lovely time together. 🙂 It was awesome FINALLY meeting you two after all of this time! Haha! Thanks for everything and enjoy this preview from your wedding day! CONGRATS!!!!
