Isabella and her family have been a part of my family since I can remember. Basically forever! We are so thankful for their friendship. I remember boat rides through Lake Anna and taking breaks on the small beaches, eating sandwiches while fish sucked our toes. Now, I don’t 100% remember if that last part was right because it was so long ago but I faintly remember freaking out about the fish sucking on our toes. Haha! Oh gosh, I hope they weren’t leeches. Yikes… Anyways, Isabella is another sister to me and I was so honored when she asked if I would photograph one of the best days of her life! She was so cute when I said I wouldn’t miss it for the world because she jumped into my arms squealing that she was an “SMP Bride”! How adorable is she?!
It was a weird combination for me since this was the first time I had to balance being a guest and the wedding photographer. Although, I found myself holding my camera throughout the reception when Isabella would storm up to me, demand I put down my camera and join the dance floor. Don’t have to ask me twice! 😉 On a personal note, my mom and dad arrived and noticed I was wearing purple. Coincidentally, my entire family was wearing purple! All five of us … It was hilarious!
Before the reception began, it was a true fairy tale for Davey and Isabella. All of the stress of planning paid off! I am SO thankful they were willing to have a first look because the rain held off during portrait time. Before the first look, it was raining cats and dogs! God blessed us with beautiful weather with the blessing of a little rain during their ceremony. 🙂 I could have photographed Davey and Isabella all day long! They looked so exquisite dressed up for their big day, so I’m glad we were ahead of schedule (that never happens) and ended up with 45 minutes of portrait time! Wooo! 🙂 I was definitely in Heaven! Something monumental happened during their wedding. Isabella cried! It’s not very often when you see Isabella get sentimental. Good thing I have it documented for forever. 😉 LOL!
The reception time flew by faster than ever … I guess when you’re dancing a lot, why even check the time? When Davey and Isabella were dancing their first dance as husband and wife, I noticed them having the best time on the dance floor. Who knows what they were saying to make each other laugh and smile, but it was adorable. The guests admired their love so evident on the dance floor that I caught Davey’s mom having a little moment watching her son all grown up. 🙂 It was the sweetest! I cannot believe all of the months of excitement and planning came and went. Now, Davey and Isabella are husband and wife, and I am so excited for their future together!! 🙂
Thank you, Davey and Isabella, for giving me the great honor of photographing your special day. I love you both and cannot wait to watch your marriage blossom over the years! CONGRATS and enjoy this preview from your fairy tale day! XOXO!
