Guys! I’m so excited about this slower season of life! I sat down and brainstormed goals and dreams, personally and professionally, for the 2017 year and look forward to sharing those with you on Wednesday. ๐ So how am I able to strategize a successful year? I wrote down what worked and what didn’t work. For the things that didn’t work, I had to brainstorm ways to make it work this year. Also, I sent out “End of the Year Surveys” to my 2016 couples to see their thoughts, which was super helpful!
So what have I been up to over the past week? Well, because I failed to select “top favorites” from every wedding and session over the past year, I spent hours upon hours going through thousands of photos last week. WHEW! Talk about monotonous, but it was great reliving all of the moments/memories with friends! Now, I need to cull through my favorites and select the best of the best … How in the world am I supposed to narrow down all of my favorite wedding photos EVER to a selection of 40 images for my website? Yikes!
Speaking of my website, I completely overhauled my website design! Eep! I’m SO so sooooo excited to share the new concept with you all hopefully this week! Redesigning my website also took hours and hours, but after seeing the finished design, I wish I did it sooner! I’m still fine tuning little things, but the new and fresh look will debut soon! I’ll be sure to update the blog design too. ๐ Here’s a sneak peek of the home page! The biggest thing is I’m utilizing SPACE. My current website is constrained within the lines, but the main thing is I want my website to breathe.:) I cannot wait to share the new look with you!
Another project I took on over the past week was my master bathroom! ๐ You know I love decorating and while I’m still finding ways to fine tune my space, the easiest project was the first one I wanted to tackle. I painted theย majority of my home in gray hues, but I decided to paint BOLD and use a dark blue in my bathroom. It’s only an accent wall, but I LOVE it! If you want to see the painting process, check out my Instagram stories! I’ll share photos when it’s completely done. Painting was only the first step I had planned for the bathroom. The next little project is building a white decorative frame around the huge mirror. The white frame is going to look SO good against the dark blue walls. ๐ I’m excited to share on the blog when it’s done! My list of projects don’t stop there, I’ll be sharing some home projects I want to conquer this winter season on Wednesday!
