Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Staycation = Success! It’s so important to listen to our bodies, and something told me months ago that I would need this past week off to recuperate after the Runaway Brides 5k Fun Run. What I also didn’t realize was that this was a vital time to be there for Kyle after the recent passing of his best friend. It was difficult at times to put my business aside for an entire week, but so necessary! I even put my cell phone aside and didn’t touch it at certain points. In this day of age, that’s hard to do, but goodness, it felt so good to not be attached to a phone!

Last week involved a lot of Moo Thru ice cream (YUM!!!!!!), family, friends, relaxation, Beauty and the Beast, Point to Point horse race and other fun endeavors. I even had a spa day, thanks to the sweetest gift from my friend, Brittney at Tranquility Day Spa and Salon!!! The last time I had a massage was when I was 16-years old, and I laughed the ENTIRE time. I think the masseuse was even a little irritated. I didn’t understand how people found this “relaxing.” It didn’t make sense to me until last Tuesday. Maybe it’s because I really needed a massage, but I’m totally convinced that I need to make regular appointments! 🙂 It was so relaxing and SO different from my first massage when I was 16. Thank goodness! 😉 I’m glad I wasn’t flailing my arms/legs around from laughing this time. Ha!

Just one more free weekend left before wedding season kicks in and then I have weddings every weekend until July! I’m excited to see what this year has in store! 🙂 On a side note, I don’t get the opportunity to say thank you as often as I want to. THANK YOU for your continued support. It means the world to me, especially the past couple of weeks when things were hard. I’m excited to dive back into business and document some sweet couples this week. Enjoy the beautiful weather and let’s hope we don’t get any more tornados!!!

XOXO!
