Chris, Lindsay and I met at UVA, where I had the privilege of getting to know these two beyond our initial phone meeting! 🙂 Together, they are considerate, loving, caring, kind and so much more! And of course, good looking! Haha! When we arrived, I didn’t expect to see ropes in every direction around the campus due to graduation weekend, but Chris and Lindsay were positive the entire time! 🙂 We worked around them like pros and somehow managed to work around the graduation crowds! Not to mention, the other billion senior portrait sessions happening in every direction. 🙂

Not only were Chris and Lindsay keeping their spirits high, but they fought through the dreaded heat and humidity. They managed to make this session look easy when actually, we were taking breaks pretty often to fan off the sweat. Haha! I cannot wait to get these two cuties in front of my camera again, but this time in cooler weather!!! 😉

How Chris and Lindsay Met

We met in April 2015 at a wine bar in downtown Durham. Chris, being punctual to everything, arrived 30 minutes early. Lindsay, on the other hand, was a solid 30 minutes late. Fortunately, Chris waited patiently in the back of the bar until Lindsay arrived and it was a good thing he did. Within minutes we were lost in conversation and 3 hours went by before either of us realized the time. Both of us knew there was something special and different about that first date. We’ve been together ever since.

How Chris Proposed to Lindsay

Chris set up a nights stay and dinner at the Fearrington House in Pittsboro, NC on a Friday night in January 2017. We had talked about taking a staycation there for several months so I was excited for the weekend. When we arrived, he suggested we explore the grounds of the property. We enjoy going on walks and hikes around the Raleigh area so I thought this was a great idea. The weather was perfect as we took a walk through the woods that Friday afternoon. With me completely unaware that Chris had the ring in his pocket, we stopped in the middle of the private wooded area next to a stream chatting and enjoying each others company. Suddenly, Chris went down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Of course, I said yes!
