I cannot help but laugh when I look through some of these photos! Carlos, the pup, made an appearance for Cam and Morgan’s engagement session and I had to use a squeaky toy to get his attention. A hint of a squeak and he would swing his head around faster than any dog! Haha! It created cute moments because Cam and Morgan couldn’t help but laugh along too. 🙂 Towards the end of the session, I think Carlos had enough of them kissing each other and wanted to join in on the action… Of course, you have to see below!
I’m so glad Cam and Morgan chose Blandy Farm Arboretum as their backdrop because it has been YEARS since I have visited! One of my very first sessions was done there, so it was nice coming back in a new perspective years later. 🙂 And it’s as if they matched the atmosphere perfectly! I love looking through the photos of them in their dressier outfits in front of the rustic building. The coloring was dreamy! 🙂 I cannot wait to photograph them again this fall … except, it will be their wedding day!!
Cam and Morgan’s Love Story
How Cam and Morgan Met
from Cam’s perspective
Our first date was all about finding out if the chemistry we had developed in messaging, translated to in person communication. And it didn’t take long to see that it would. The location was Clementines, a restaurant in Harrisonburg, which is where she was living at the time. I had made the hour drive down, being the gentleman that I am; but I needed to find out where this was heading. I picked her up at her place and we left for dinner. I don’t remember any specific topics, just that it was effortless. The banter was steady and light. I remember I got a few good laughs out of her. Which was one of my goals because I wanted to hear her laugh. An off putting laugh is a deal breaker for me, because you can’t be with someone you can’t stand to laugh with. Needless to say, I guess, but she passed the test. And all others following, to this date.
How Cam Proposed to Morgan
from Morgan’s perspective
A few months before Cam proposed my Fitbit fitness tracker had completely died and never would cut back on. I went a few months without one, and the group of co-workers I usually walk with kept asking when I was getting a new one. Some of them joked that if Cam didn’t get me a ring for Christmas he could buy me a new Fitbit. August rolled around and Cam came home from work one day with a Fitbit box in his hand. He said that it was an early Christmas present because he knew I wanted to join the challenge groups at work. When I opened the box of the Fitbit, the ring was slid into a slot Cam had made in the box. It was very low key and not over the top-just perfect!
Thank you, Cam and Morgan, for a great time together!!! I cannot wait to see you all (including Carlos!) this fall!!! We are going to have the best time together! XOXO! Congrats and enjoy these last few months of your engagement!!!
Carlos was jealous of them kissing and had to join in! Lolol!
CONGRATS!!!
