We spent months planning for this session to happen, not necessarily by choice, but nevertheless, we were excited to meet each other last week! 🙂 Angela contacted me at the beginning of this year to start planning their cherry blossom DC portraits. Well, spring ended up being a flop between the warmer than usual temps and a random snow storm destroying the majority of the anticipated flowers. After reworking the vision for Matt and Angela’s anniversary portraits, we were able to make up for the springtime flowers by going to the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia! Flowers were abundant, and the sun made an appearance for their portraits. Honestly, that was a relief after the weather not working in our favor earlier this year. 🙂
Matt and Angela brought their adorable little pup, Roxy, with them and I just HAD to include some funny moments in this blog post! 😉 I love photographing dogs and kids because most moments are never expected! I learned half way through the session that I was photographing an Insta-famous pup! 😉 Who would’ve thought! I also learned that Matt and Angela have the most ADORABLE life-long project going on. They call it the “Rocking Chair” series where they take a single photo sitting in two chairs, side by side. One day, they will be able to compile all of their photos together until they are old and gray in rocking chairs. They seriously melt my heart! <3 I made sure to include that picture below, of course. 🙂
THANK YOU, Matt and Angela, for being patient as we worked through the cherry blossom season and the summer heat! Last week’s session was perfect and so much fun! I loved getting to know you all through our short time together. <3 Congrats on your anniversary and enjoy these photos!!! XOXO!
