James, Emily and I started their engagement session in their backyard where the lighting beautifully cast through the trees. Sometimes, it can be tricky to photograph in wooded areas when there’s a stark contrast between highlights and shadows when the sun is out, but their woods served as the perfect backdrop! Plus, I enjoyed photographing at their home because I had the opportunity to snuggle and play with their ADORABLE pup!!! Oh, I could have easily spent hours there, minus the mosquitos in the woods, but tis the season! Haha! Definitely worth the bites, and fortunately, no ticks! After we had finished at their house, we drove to the Great Fall National Park where we enjoyed the beautiful waterfall overlooks. Below us, there were kayakers somehow going through the rapids … Not sure how that works, but we were happy on shore. 😉 I loved seeing how James and Emily opened up in front of the camera during our time together!!! They were so sweet and had a great vision for the shoot between the locations and their outfits! Looking through these photos make me smile to see those in between genuine moments captured. SO sweet!!! I cannot wait for their wedding day in December!!
Thank you, James and Emily, for bearing the heat/humidity! You cannot even tell how hot it was when we got together, thanks to your positive outlook!!! I cannot wait to see you two again! Enjoy a preview from our time together!
