Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, everyone!! šŸ™‚ I just completed my last wedding of the spring/summer season on Saturday which means I get to spend the next month catching up with a lot of behind the scenes work, personal projects and traveling! It has been a busier than anticipated summer season, but I’m INCREDIBLY grateful for your support! So much is changing in my life, and I’m listening to God more than ever, personally and professionally! It’s crazy how He works through us, and I am always reminded of that. Also, I cannot help but recognize my couples for inspiring me in many ways! I’m so blessed to be surrounded by some of the SWEETEST, most darling couples! I love my “job” and cannot believe I get to share my passion with you all. <3 Thank you!!

Weekend Recap

One thing I need to consistently remind myself is to continue being personal with you all. I have found myself creating distance from my blog over the past few months and even social media because I allowed myself to be “too busy.” Honestly, I love intentional time with people. This means without a cell phone or computer in front of me. Lately, I have put these things off to the side so I can focus on people time. Not like this is a bad thing at all, I just need to find a balance. šŸ™‚ I mean, don’t we all? Let us all work on figuring out a balance of people vs. technology time! šŸ™‚

A little personal note what happened over the weekend … Have you ever read the book, the Five Love Languages? If you haven’t, you should! I read it back in college, and it’s a great way to understand how you love to be loved. When Julien and I met, we talked about our “love languages,” and it was funny that we are both the same, which definitely makes it easier to show appreciation. One language that isn’t a priority to me is “gifts.” But of course, what girl doesn’t love surprises? My sweet Julien gifted me a beautiful gold leaf necklace over the weekend that was something worth sharing with you all! It’s funny how impactful a simple gift can be without even knowing. What Julien didn’t know was that this gold leaf necklace resembled so much of what my great grandmother collected throughout her life. I kept one of her necklaces in my jewelry box for years (on the right) and was in disbelief when I put the two necklaces side by side! Thanks to Julien, I’m inspired to start my own collection of golf leaf jewelry in honor of my great grandmother. Her ten-year passing anniversary is next month, so this gift meant so much more than I imagined. šŸ™‚
