Chris & Lindsay | Trump Winery, Charlottesville Virginia Wedding Photographer

This year continues to inspire me more and more! I love getting to know my couples’ hearts throughout our time together. So that brings me to Chris and Lindsay… A super sweet, southern, faithful couple with hearts of gold! It was a true honor when they reached out to me regarding their wedding day because Gayle, Lindsay’s mom, is also a wedding photographer (no pressure, Stephanie!!!)! To put that kind of trust in my hands was a special and huge privilege, and I’m grateful! I loved seeing Gayle pop out the camera a couple of times, so naturally, I had to take a photo of her in action! 😉 I’m so proud of her for enjoying the wedding and being intentional with her family/friends throughout the day because I know there could have been many opportunities for her to take out her camera! Great job, Gayle!!! Especially seeing her daughter in her STUNNING dress!!! My goodness! I loved the detailing all over her dress, especially the back! The bustling was intricate as well — Over 30 hooks!! But I can see why Lindsay fell in love with it as soon as she saw it. 🙂 Lindsay looked incredible, and paired with her dashing prince charming; they looked like a fairytale couple!

Chris and Lindsay’s wedding happened on a perfect, fall day at the beautiful Trump Winery. It was my first time photographing on the grounds, and Chris and Lindsay continued to inspire me around the venue throughout our time together. The bridal suite was perfect, although, the spiral staircase made it interesting for Lindsay after she got all dolled up. Haha! It was a beautiful room surrounded by windows, where we even saw Chris making his way down to the chapel for their first look. From that point on, it seemed like the day flew by so fast! We made our way down to the chapel where they held onto each other and embraced the moment that the day was finally happening! After running around, it was time to get ready for the ceremony!

The ceremony space was situated on top of the hill, overlooking a spectacular view and the endless vines around the Trump Winery property! Family and friends from all over gathered for this occasion and it was definitely one to never forget! Lindsay’s brother and sister-in-law sang, “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles, and it brought tears to my eyes! You could see how PROUD Lindsay and Chris were. The lyrics were so fitting. 🙂 Soon after, they were pronounced as husband and wife and they were immediately brought in for hugs, kisses, excitement and even tears. I love seeing everyone just as excited as the couple!!

After some cocktails, it was time to party!!! They had PLENTY of food, but I loved that they surprised their guests with Kline’s ice cream (famous in Harrisonburg!) as well as tater tots! So fun!!! Besides the food, they had incredibleeeee music! Chris and Lindsay chose a live band for their entertainment, and there were times I caught myself thinking I was listening to the actual song! They were THAT good! The guests were immediate fans of the band as they crowded the dance floor before the dinner was officially done. It was a great sign for a great night. 😉 Eventually, they had to seat everyone for the toasts. The maid/matron of honor, best man, and the father-of-the-bride speeches were sweet, sentimental and HILARIOUS, but there was one special speech I thought I would mention in this blog post. Lindsay’s dad had one of the SWEETEST father-of-the-bride speech I have ever heard. 🙂 After professing his love for Gayle (his wife) as well as his family, I knew we were all in for a tear-fest. Anddddd it happened. I don’t know how he got through it, but he did, and it was one I hope never to forget. 🙂 After the parent dances, guests flooded the dance floor again and partied the night away! As I drove home that evening from Charlottesville, I was thinking how blessed I am to meet couples like Chris and Lindsay, as well as their families. Then, of course, I got antsy to share these photos, so without further ado, here are some of my favorites from Saturday’s wedding!!! Enjoy!!

Thank you, Chris and Lindsay, for giving me the greatest honor of photographing your engagement and wedding day! I’m in ‘awe’ from your marriage and I’m so glad we have these pictures to relive these precious memories together. <3 I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you two and your sweet, southern souls. Your heart for God, each other and your family/friends is something to be proud of. I loved seeing that exposed on your special day and it swelled my heart with joy witnessing/documenting that!
