I’ve been busy traveling all over Virginia lately, photographing fall engagements! One of the places I recently visited to document Taylor and Katherine’s engagement session was in Richmond, the heart of Virginia! π I wouldn’t have chosen a better place for their backdrop because RVA is their current hometown. Knowing that they don’t plan to stay here forever, it was appropriate to celebrate their session by running around this beautiful city! And boy, we lucked out on the weather!!
Taylor and Katherine work CRAZY schedules, so I’m glad we were able to make this session work, even after planning for this day months in advance! π I cannot believe even with their hectic agendas that they are on top of wedding planning. Kudos to them! Katherine is currently working towards being a dentist while Taylor is doing radiology work. I was shocked when Katherine told me that Taylor pulled an all-nighter before we took photos! I know I would’ve looked like a wreck, but they were so beautiful to document together, and didn’t let any exhaustion show!! <3
We started at the Capitol where we ran across a Segway tour. They mentioned that as a gift a while back ago, they did the Segway adventure and IΒ thought how funny would that have been to do something with that for their engagement session! π It would have been an interesting time, I’m sure!!! HA! After finishing up, we headed to an overlook to catch the glowy sunset! As we were running around the park, I turned around to find Katherine riding Taylor’s back β I was very impressed she managed to do that in her dress, but it’s one of my personal favorite photos. π I love the in-between moments, and cannot wait to see what candids occur on their wedding day while everyone is celebrating the special occasion! I know it’s going to be a fun and beautiful time!!! <3
