Oh, guys. This session might have been one of the rainest portrait sessions I’ve ever done, but you would never be able to tell that from the bliss captured below!!! 🙂 We arrived at Sky Meadows Park early last week and had no choice but to bear the elements while Kayla and her family were visiting Virginia. Thank goodness I always keep a pair of rainboots in my car! The rain poured down before I even had the chance to get out of my car to welcome/meet Kayla! We waited until the rain lightened, and after 5-10 minutes of meeting each other and photographing as much as we could, we had to jump back into the cars because of another downpour. After it lightened for the second time, I decided that we needed to take charge of this session and not let rain interfere with our precious, valuable time together! I’m glad we made this session happen during the peak time of fall! The leaves looked gorgeous in the backdrop, while provided a little shade during one of the downpours. 🙂 Bonus!!!

So imagine a rainy, November day… It’s COLD. So for these kids to have smiles on their faces was definitely a miracle!! 🙂 And goodness, Kayla and Bryans’ little girl had the BIGGEST smile the entire time, even when it was getting too cold for her to be outside. They ended up running her to the car to warm her up just to make sure she was comfortable. But gosh, definitely the happiest little baby, as you will see below!! 🙂 Kayla brought her mom, sister-in-law, and nephew for photos. I’m glad they were able to get together to document these memories while the kids are young. They came prepared with smiles, laughs, and umbrellas, and I’m so grateful for their positive attitudes and willingness to get a little wet! We laughed about the weather towards the end of the session because this is another time they can mark down as an unforgettable time. 🙂

Thank you, Kayla and your family, for making the most of our time together!! 🙂 It was definitely a chilly and wet time, but gosh, you all brightened the day with your enthusiasm and positivity!!! THANK YOU!!! Enjoy this preview of our time together!!!
