I knew from the very first email that this couple was special. David would email me with so much love and adoration towards his sweet Victoria! You could tell how much of a blessing she was to walk into his life. I say all of the time that one of my favorite attributes of owning a wedding photography business is the people! Every couple or family that walk into my life shares a unique story. David and Victoria are one of those couples that have already impacted me, and we are just getting started!!! Haha! Their humbling love is something I want to strive for in my future. Keeping God first and sharing that bond with another person is so special. <3 These two have their hearts, minds, and souls in the right place, and without a doubt, these two were meant to be!
David, Victoria and I met at the beautiful Airlie Center in Warrenton, Virginia right after Thanksgiving to photograph their engagement portraits. Their energy level meshed so well with mine, so we had the most fantastic time together! It seemed as though I didn’t even really have to direct the shoot because their love and happiness came effortlessly, creating charming, one-of-a-kind moments! If you heard me behind the camera, I was GUSHING the entire session!!! Haha! The hopeless romantic inside of me just oozed out. I know their wedding day will be even more special and I can hardly wait for next month!!!
David & Victoria’s Love Story
from Victoria’s point of view
David and I had both spent many years serving in our church communities and thinking at various points that we might live as single people consecrated to God’s service for the rest of our lives. Over time and with prayer, however, we discerned to pursue marriage and found ourselves venturing into the world of online dating. At the time that our dating website had matched David and I together, David had been frustrated and literally about to cancel his subscription, and I had just begun mine under the advice of a colleague at work. Right off the bat, David asked me the hard-hitting deal-breaker questions about how we regarded physical intimacy before marriage and the desire for children. I surprised him with answers that were the same as his own. I have to say, however, that at first I brushed him off being a bit older than me, but the more I came to know about him I was in awe of how much we had in common, how much we grew through one another, and how we could be ourselves with one another (and how adorable he is!). We found great delight in finding, so to speak, another self, and were overjoyed to find someone so similar with great passion to share the love we had come to know in Jesus with the world. We look forward to the many ways small or large that God might call us to serve him and our brothers and sisters as a married couple!
