Where in the world did 2017 go?! I know to many, it’s a relief!!! I cannot wait to sit down and sum up the year on the blog — All of the highs and lows! Before we dive into that, let’s play a little catch-up!! This week on the blog is crammed packed with personal and business posts. 🙂 Get readyyyyy!!!!
Here are some favorite highlights from the New Years!!!
My brother came home for the Holidays from Basic Traning, and it was so nice to hang out with him every opportunity possible, even while working! 🙂 I’m so proud of him and cannot wait for him to come home SOON!!!
I finally got to meet this sweet little angel at church last week!!!! Brandon and Sam are so dear to my heart, and I’m so happy they were blessed with little Ella! <3
Later that day, I started prepping for an epic 90s party by crimping my hair! YES! Ladies, do you remember those days?! Funny enough, my sister found my old crimper at my parent’s place!!! JACKPOT!
Then Alex took me out with his fun group of friends to the National in Richmond to jam out to 90s music. It was one of the best nights of my life! We danced and sang at the top of our lungs for over 4 hours. My iPhone said we did SIX miles of dancing/running around that night!!! HAHA! I’ll take it. 😉
So how do you dress like the 90s? Well, after plenty of research, I quickly realized that the 90s were just a mess when it came to style! HA! Conveniently, little details have come back in “style” like chokers and scrunchies. Locating these things were shockingly easy at Target. I did a few crafty things to make this outfit complete like I cut up/bleached an old pair of jeans and made a funny shirt for the occasion (thanks to the silhouette machine)! I took the song lyrics from “Everybody” by the Backstreet Boys, and it was a hit! 😉 I added a fanny pack, hat, boots, and of course, the plaid shirt wrapped around the waist. And Alex dressed up like Zach Morris!!! 😉
Last week, I had the privilege of having brunch with Alex’s sweet and gracious family at the GORGEOUS Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond. If you haven’t been, you HAVE to go around Christmas time because the decorations are worth the trip. 🙂 Also, the food was delicious!!! But, if anything, definitely go for the decorations. 🙂
Also, I’m excited to add this new baby to my equipment collection!! I’m officially replacing my 50mm with the 58mm lens! As a Nikon photographer, the 50mm was my least favorite portrait lens to use for sessions/weddings. So it was time to figure out another option. After doing research, I fell in LOVE with the 58mm!!! I’m so excited to use/test out this new toy this year! 🙂 🙂 🙂 2018 clients, get ready!!!!
