Well, it has been over a week since my last blog post, and it was definitely not by choice… I had a jammed-packed week of posts to share with you all, and I felt helpless! FINALLY, I have access to my blog again to pick up where I left off!!!
I’ve dealt with hacking issues in the past, so this was a new experience. As I was typing up last week’s blog post, my server crashed and I had nooooo idea what was going on. It turned out a hacker got access to my blog and kicked me out!!! For two straight days, I tried researching like crazy trying to find a solution. I couldn’t log in no matter what I did and the WordPress forums were zero help… I didn’t see one email or phone number to call, so I REALLY felt helpless. I was in the mentality that I would have to shut down my blog and start over. Talk about a twisting stomach…
Late last week, I was on Bluehost checking out my behind the scenes data. I found a website doctor recovery service for $250, which I was totally willing to pay instead of shutting down my blog. After waiting to hear from them about fixing my website, I FINALLY found the solution!! Through Bluehost, I found a backward way to log in to my blog without logging in directly through WordPress!! I logged out the hacker and immediately changed my info!! WHEW! Talk about relief and a little stress.
If you ever experience this issue in the future (for those who have a WordPress blog and have Bluehost as your hosting company), follow these steps below:
- Log into Bluehost
- Click “Website Tools” located in the top menu bar
- Click on “Users” located on the left-side menu bar
- Scroll down to find “Reset Password”!!!
- On your WordPress dashboard, you can also locate this by finding the “User” and go to “Your Profile”
- All the way at the bottom is a button to log out all sessions! DO THIS IMMEDIATELY to kick out the hacker!!
- Reset password and be sure to click “Update Profile”
- Thoroughly check out your blog and find out anything else the hacker did. I know my hacker disabled all of my plugins…
So, now it’s time to move forward and play catch up! I want to share my favorite memories of 2017 as well as resolutions for this year. That will come next week!! Before you see last weekends GORGEOUS Morais Vineyards wedding from last weekend on the blog, let’s dive into a little personal update! 🙂
That moment when we tried taking a photo with Winston, the cutest pup, on Bachelor night … Obviously, that didn’t work out very well. But his tail made it into the frame! 😉
Also, is it just me or does it feel like everyone is on the Whole 30?! I quickly realized when I have friends over for a wine and catch up night I need to have an abundance of fruit! So, I had to bring back a high school memory when I had some girlfriends over one night and picked up Kumquats!! HAHA! If you haven’t tried it before, you should!
My weekend in Richmond consisted of… (definitely purchasing a pack of this beer!!)
I cheated with the Acai bowl and used a mixed fruit instead of just straight Acai, but hopefully, I’ll actually find just Acai at a grocery store. 😉 The search continues… HA! But, otherwise, I would say it was an awesome weekend!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Currently, I’m out of town watching my brother graduate Basic Training!!! YAY!!!! <3 <3 <3 So proud of him! I’ll be back in the office next week with photos from my short trip to Minesota and so much more!
Be sure to stay tuned for New Years Resolutions, 2017 Recap, David and Victoria’s wedding, and SO much more!!!! It’s SO good to be back!!!!! 🙂
Happy almost weekend!!!
