From the initial email to our farewells on their wedding day, David and Victoria have inspired me more ways than they know! David initially told me that he was immediately interested in learning more about my services when they were browsing through my website. One of the first images he spotted read, “Amazing Grace.” These words spoke encouragement to reach out to me, and I’m SO glad God connected us!!! Months later, we met for their engagement portraits where I grew a deeper connection with them as we walked around Airlie and really got to know each other beyond an email exchange. Their love for the Lord and each other was evident from our initial hellos! 🙂 I was excited to document their adoration towards one another! And, boy, they did not disappoint!!! 🙂
A month later, I walked into the beautiful Morais bridal suite to meet with Victoria and her family. Everyone was ECSTATIC that not only Victoria was marrying the man of her dreams, but the very man she was meant to be with forever. 🙂 There is absolutely no doubt God brought these two together with a purpose!! They are spreading the joy of the Lord and life through every connection they make along their paths individually and collectively. After she was dressed and bundled up, it was time to walk outside into the frigid cold air and get hitched!!! Fortunately, they did not plan an outdoor wedding. 😉 THANK GOODNESS!!!
We arrived at the Holy Trinity Church where David was kept in the back room to reflect and prep before seeing his beautiful soon-to-be-wife! As soon as he came out, anticipation set in and soon, the door opened to reveal his beloved Victoria. He took her hand, and they worshipped together at the altar, along with their family and friends supportively standing behind. I captured a few moments throughout the mass ceremony of David glancing over at Victoria, admiring. It’s obvious that these two do not take each other for granted. 🙂 After special prayers, Holy Communion, and words of wisdom, it was time for their first kiss, and then they were off on their way as husband and wife!!! *Signal the church bells!*
We didn’t have a lot of wiggle room following the ceremony, so I was grateful for everyone who coped with the uncomfortable, FREEZING temperatures, and made these photos happen!!! I don’t think I’ve photographed a wedding in temps as low as David and Victoria’s wedding, but it was definitely an unforgettable experience!!! 😉 HA! The fact that David and Victoria didn’t let the wind and icy climate altar their joyful attitudes, made this part of the day easier than expected!! And looking back through the photos warms my heart. 🙂 But, to be honest, as soon as we were done photographing outside, I immediately ran to a sink and blasted hot water to defrost my hands! 😉 No joke!!!!
The vendor team did an incredible job decorating the ballroom! The burgundy, gold, ivory, and wintery green color pallet created a classy, romantic and antiquey atmosphere David and Victoria were envisioning for their wedding day. 🙂 They incorporated religious-themed decor by placing a little framed Bible verse at every seat. To make the day really special, they had a line up of theatrical entertainment for the evening! I definitely did not leave disappointed, that’s for sure!!! I felt as though I was in a room FILLED with talented singers! They proved that when they surprised the guests with a flash mob song! Let’s just say that this wedding knew how to start the year off on an unforgettable note!! One of my favorite moments was when David and his mom sang “The Prayer” to Victoria. It was a beautiful dedication that left me with chills! Incredible performances and a great party to celebrate this new chapter of their lives!!! 🙂 So excited to see where God will take these two over the years ahead!
A huge thank you to David and Victoria for having me by your side on your precious wedding day!!! What a huge honor to have met you through my business — Your love is inspiring, and I’m excited about your future together as husband and wife!!!
Congratulations!!!!
Also, a big thank you to the vendors!!!
