Two Year Homeaversary!

Two Year Homeaversary!

I remember sitting down with Ryan Homes two and a half years ago signing paperwork to build my house. I was excited and nervous, but yet, confident with my decision. Between my first time hearing about an available lot to the initial contact with the sales rep regarding my interest to then signing paperwork, all happened in a matter of three days! At that point, I had been wanting to be a homeowner for years, but all contracts fell through. It was a frustrating experience, but seriously, it was ALL in God’s plan! Looking back, I love seeing how the stars aligned!! When I sat down to sign paperwork for my house, I saw how God worked through this opportunity in a confirming, “Yes, this is the way!” I didn’t hesitate!! Even though it was a fast process, I didn’t let fear step in my way. I could have easily second guessed myself from buying, because naturally, I’m an overthinker. I love to think about all scenarios in my head before they happen to protect myself, but I also realized over the years that I cannot let fear or overthinking a situation too much create an obstacle. Otherwise, what good is that and how would I ever learn/grow? In my daily devotional last week read, “Do not give in to fear or worry, those robbers of abundant living. Trust Me enough to face problems as they come, rather than trying to anticipate them.” YES.

There’s definitely a lot of responsibility on my end between bills, changing water filters, air filters, alarm batteries, make sure salt is monitored in the water softener … Not to mention, maintaining a clean, clutter-free house! But it is absolutely manageable because I’ve been using Google Calendar! If you don’t already do this, I HIGHLY recommend it because you can set reminders months in advance so you don’t have to remember when you last changed the air filters, etc. šŸ™‚

Two Year Homeaversary!

Over the past couple of years, this home has been a place for gathering, great conversation and growth. It has been a space of comfort, and I look forward to see where this investment leads me next! Hands down, it was the best thing I did two years ago!!! Last Friday, I celebrated my two-year homeaversary, but with a new fluffy addition in the household! šŸ™‚
