Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

I’m currently soaking up these “slower” moments, although, they are definitely by no means, “slow.” With Ollie growing fast and furious, I’ve been working with him every day! πŸ™‚ He’s already an amazing puppy (besides the tendency to bite when he’s excited), but I’ve already seen improvement! A lot is happening behind the scenes besides puppy playing. πŸ˜‰ I’m currently working on packaging for the year, which means my craft room looks like a bomb went off! Haha! I’m also working on taxes, which everyone knows that’s a highlight of the year… NOT! πŸ˜‰

After quickly recovering from a minor cold, I was ready for a great weekend! Friday stopped me in my tracks when the power went out at 11 a.m.Β I thought, surely, the power would turn back on in an hour… I had no idea the anticipated “windstorm” would turn into hours without power. I also didn’t realize how crazy the weather was going to be that day! Of course, having a puppy meant taking him out for many walks/potty breaks, so we had to gear up for the wind! As we tried to walk around, we found shingles torn off on my neighbor’s house!!! I also saw a road street sign in the middle of the street! Crazy destruction. After walking back inside to warm up, I realized how cold my house was for obvious reasons… And I also realized it wasn’t the best choice to quickly throw a load of laundry in the washer 30-minutes before the power outage. HAHA!

Weekend Recap

By 5 p.m. on Friday, I realized outside lighting was limited, which meant I had to take action running around my house prepping for a night without power. The grocery shopping I did the day prior was also a poor choice… With limited time, I couldn’t find a flashlight (except for my dying phone), and so I ran out to pick up bags of ice. My local grocery store was closed, so after finding an open gas station with ice, I scrambled around to pack up my refrigerator. Let me tell you, I bought the RTIC cooler for camping, but this thing came in handy last Friday! πŸ™‚ I bought ice last Friday, and there is STILL ice in it!!!! Seriously, a great investment!!! I guess it’s time to dump out the ice. πŸ˜‰ HA!Weekend Recap

Saturday was fun because I got to see Alex, which always brightens my day, and hang out with some of his dearest friends at the Williamsburg Winery! πŸ™‚ It was another cold, windy day, but we put on our wine jackets and enjoyed great conversations, CHEESE,Β and wine! We will have to update this photo in a better lighting situation. πŸ˜‰

Weekend Recap

Alex and I also celebrated his sweet mama’s Birthday on Sunday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. COLLINS!!!!), which quickly brought the weekend to a great ending!! πŸ™‚ I love family/friend time, and I cannot wait til’ the next time that happens!!! Definitely soaking up these few casual weekends off because wedding season is picking up next month! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The weekend festivities extended into yesterday as I gathered some local friends (and pups!!) to watch the Bachelor!!! GUYS. I am NOT a fan of Arie. From the start, I was not a fan. Pillow lips? EW. GROSS. *Why don’t we zoom in while he makes out with 20 girls.* Gag. But after watching last night … SERIOUSLY???????? When I considered moving forward with the Bachelor process for this season (unknowing Arie was the Bachelor), I figured it wasn’t a great process for me for several reasons. One of them being that I needed to be in a committed relationship and not just “another girl.” Although, traveling around with a bunch of friends to Europe sounds like the best time!! πŸ˜‰ Haha! But after watching last night… HOLY MOLY. Talk about cruelty and betrayal on national TV! But I guess Becca has a HUGE following now because so many girls can empathize with her. If you go on to Arie’s Instagram, be prepared to see all of the crazy comments!!! It’s VERY entertaining. πŸ˜‰ Honestly, though, how can Lauren want to be with him after seeing him on tv last night. My theory is, if he could do that to Becca, how can Lauren know he won’t do that to her? And the fact that he didn’t have any emotion… Ugh, I’ll stop. πŸ˜‰ HAHA! He’s seriously the worst. The next bachelor on the show better be worth watching because it seemed like Arie was a last minute choice. On the positive flip side, Ollie enjoyed some girlfriend time!!! And he has a new friend/distant relative, Boa!!! SO snuggly and cute!!

Weekend Recap

Cannot wait to watch what happens on the Bachelor Finale Part II tonight!!!! As much as I despise The Bachelor right now, I’m totally sucked in… HAHA!

Happy Tuesday!!!!
