How was your Cinco de Mayo?!?! I absolutely love the holiday because I’m a big fan of Mexican food. 😉 Tacos … Margaritas … Guacamole … Chipos. 😉 This past weekend might have been my favorite of all the Cinco de Mayos I’ve celebrated in the past! It definitely involved a yummy taco (Chapman style — Holla, Chapman fam!) and friends, but it also involved a Savage Race! My friend, Bethany, and her hubby run a 10k mud run every year, and as soon as they told me about it, I was IN! I’m glad Alex shares the same enthusiasm for a good, dirty challenge because he signed up without hesitation. 🙂 I was a little hesitant for him only because he flew in red-eye from PERU just a couple days before the race. He did AMAZING and completely demolished the course. So impressed! I’m glad he’s back home, safe and sound. And Ollie is happy too!!! He’s been waiting for WEEKS to see him! 😉 HAHA!
It’s not very often I have available May weekends, but I was so grateful to have this time “off” to go camping, spending time with friends, and take on a good challenge! It was the best weekend and I cannot wait to sign up for another one soon! Time to hit the gym and train … 😉 I cannot wait to see the action photos (even embarrassing ones) to share with you all soon! You’ll be seeing them on Insta-stories this week, so stay tuned!! 😉
