It’s funny thinking back when Taylor, Katherine and I got together back in October for their engagement session. Richmond was their hometown and it seems like SO much has changed since then. Richmond has become a second home to me since Alex lived there as well, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! Since then, Taylor and Katherine have relocated to New Haven where they are continuing their careers as doctors! A lot of change in a short amount of time, but they managed to take care of that while planning a wedding. 🙂 Kudos!!!
It was fun getting to know these two throughout the months, since our initial contact. 🙂 I was impressed that they were able to work their relationship around the demands of med school … It’s no joke!!! But they are as sweet as can be, and goodness, seeing how much Taylor admires and cherishes Katherine is so sincere, as you will see below!! 🙂 I was so excited to be alongside with these two as they celebrated the big day, and I’ve been anxious to share these pretty photos at the ever-so-gorgeous King Family Vineyards with you all this week!!!
The Wedding Day
There’s something beautiful about a misty wedding day. The outdoor coloring is neutral and balanced, which is great for photography. 🙂 But what makes it even better is when I have couples who embrace the outdoor elements and carry an optimistic outlook! In fact, when I walked into the bridal suite at King Family Vineyards, Katherine had a line up of clear umbrellas for the bridal party! Talk about preparation!!! I love it!! Fortunately, as you’ll see below, we were able to continue with the timeline without the use of umbrellas (for the most part)!!
Goodness, Katherine looked STUNNING in her Kleinfeld Bridal dress!!!!
I could’ve taken pictures of their rings forever!!! Look at that rock! WHEW!
What a classic beauty!!!
I know my mom would appreciate the Cavelier cuff-links!!
As I was passing through, I saw Katherine’s dad writing down notes for his speech later that evening.
I appreciate the moments the bride and groom are able to spend with their parents, where they are able to give them words of encouragement before the ceremony!!!
GOODNESS!!! And the time when Taylor got to see his bride! GAH! I love it!!! Made me tear up because it was such a genuine reaction. 🙂 He was absolutely in AWE!!!!!
Love these photos!!!
Wow! Katherine!!! You’re gorgeous!!!
Beautiful flowers!!!
Be still my heart. <3
The rain began to come down enough to ask the men if they were comfortable with the conditions. These guys were troopers and ran out in the rain like it wasn’t a bother! Thanks for your enthusiasm, men!
Beautiful flowers by Foxtail Cottage Floral!!!
Thanks, Madison, for being the best train fluffer!!!! You’re a pro!!
YESSSSSS!!!! This wedding party was the bomb!!!
Pretty, girls!!!! I am a big fan of the different style dresses!! You all looked fabulous!
Due to the rain, the ceremony moved to plan B. However, it was a great secondary option because they had the perfect number of guests to fit under the porch area!!
And we still had the pretty mountain view in the backdrop!!!
As you’ll quickly find out during the reception, Taylor loved surprising his wife with dipped kisses!!! HAHA! Love this shot!!!
Those smiles! SO HAPPY!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
OFFICIAL!!!
Taylor and Katherine spent the cocktail hour enjoying it with loved ones while listening to their favorite musicians, Colin and Caroline!!
Beautiful and classy details!!!
We cannot forget to appreciate the small details the vendor team puts together, even the little raspberries that are placed gently on each plate!
Colin and Caroline did a fabulous job singing Taylor and Katherine’s first dance. <3 So much happiness and joy!!!
And, of course, surprising Katherine with a dip!
Fabulous speeches with well wishes to Taylor and Katherine!!!
Then, the party kicked off with so many fun candids around the room!!!
Vinyl Headlights kept the dance floor bumping for hours!!!
Everyone begged for the night to continue on! The celebration went by wayyyy too fast!!!
So honored to have been their wedding photographer!!! <3
Congratulations!!!!
Thank you, Taylor and Katherine, for having me by your side from the start of your wedding day to the sparkler exit! It was an absolute treasure to have had you both a part of my 2018 season! I hope to see you in the near future, whether I am around your area or you’re back in town visiting! I wish you nothing but the very best!!! So excited for what the future has in store for you!!!
