I hope you had a great weekend! I’m ready for some sunshine … Anyone else?! Who knew that this year would be so rainy. There have been countless postponed sessions, but we are making it work!!! 🙂 I appreciate my couples’ patience and willingness to be flexible during this unpredictable season!! It’s also challenging on poor Ollie because no one likes a smelly wet pup. But, gosh, he LOVES a good bath! It’s seriously adorable! Especially when the blow dryer comes out… Not sure if you have a dog and if he/she loves that too, but it’s so stinkin’ cute!!! But the perk of this rain, it is keeping me indoors so I’m able to get a lot of work done, especially this week!!! Speaking of this week, Ollie and I will be heading out of the office on Wednesday to slowly road trip down to Florida to visit Alex!!! This will be Ollie’s first major road trip, and I’m SO pumped!!!! We will see if I’m just as excited after a 13.5 drive with a five-month-old pup. Haha! 😉
I’ll be offering photography services down in/around Destin, Florida for anyone who is interested!!! Contact me via info@stephaniemessick.com if you want to connect!! 🙂
On another note, I have to share some photos from Kate and Andrew’s wedding!! Sam and Petie did a great job documenting their special day. <3 I love this left photo of Alex helping Kate with her dress. **Be still my heart!!!** Also, Gosh, Alex’s speech was the best Best Man speech ever! SO GOOD!Â
What Happened this Past Week
Fast forward to last week… As you know from reading my “30 is the New 30” blog post, I celebrated my Birthday last Tuesday. 🙂 My bro and I celebrated by taking Ollie to Skyline Drive! It was a great little hiking adventure, although, chillier than expected!! Ollie loved it! He especially loved it when we saw a bear on the side of the road walking around! Haha!
I celebrated with loved ones that evening with a yummy Birthday dinner! My sister made a beautiful “30” cake (pound cake with Nutella frosting, strawberries, and macaroons)!
She also decorated a small personal cake with an adorable cake topper made by my talented mamma!!! I decided to celebrate my heritage by having Lebanese food (SO GOOD).Â
Ollie and I took a road trip down to Richmond to hang out with friends! Also, GO CAPSSSSS!!!
Love overload!!!
Recent Photography Work
This is different, but I thought I would share some personal work I did this past week! 🙂 I photographed a special horse and I love the results!
I love these guys!!! We brought it back to where our friendship started, in Richmond. 🙂 They are off to Hawaii again, and I hope to make it out their way in the future!!! I cannot wait to blog more from our 8-minute session! Haha! Seriously, in 8-minutes, I was able to deliver 47 edited photos! And that time even counted checking on Ollie behind me! Talk about hustle!!!
I had the honor of photographing Michael and Lauren’s wedding this past weekend! Be sure to watch out for this wedding on the blog this week!!! Congrats!!!!
Happy Monday!!!! XOXO!
