I’ve known Andrew and Maya for YEARS, and I’m SOOOOO excited that they are starting the adventures of parenthood! While we were taking photos around the ever-so-gorgeous Shenandoah National Park, we took some time to catch up a little bit. I could easily chat with these two all day, but we had a sunset to chase! 😉 We reflected on their wedding day that happened a couple years ago and how beautiful/fun it was at Stone Tower Winery! I got to play guest, and not just that, but also dress up in a sari! To this day, I’ll never forget walking into the venue and seeing Maya’s aunt run up to me saying, “We need to fix this!” After all of the researching, I still managed to put the sari on the wrong way! Haha! I’m glad she took the time to help me get situated right before the ceremony started, but it made the experience even more fun! I loved dressing up for the occasion and made sure to take full advantage of playing guest by dancing my butt off to every song! The best kind of memories. Thank you, Andrew and Maya, for having me a part of your celebration! It was the best, and you two looked amazing!!!
Maya is a sweet, kind, encouraging, nurturing woman, and I just adore her so much!!! Andrew is a confident, easy-going, witty guy, and together, they will undoubtedly raise their son to be just the same loving, independent, fun individual as these two are. <3 I’m SO excited for them! Maya has a great, creative eye which I also admire. If you saw their home, no joke, it’s ready to be featured in an interior decorating magazine! Some of my fondest memories with Maya was when we hung out with a glass of wine chatting all things about DIY projects and home decor. Some of my favorite pastimes! 🙂 I can only imagine how ADORABLE the nursery will look when it’s all set and done!! (Maya, this is your hint to eventually post photos. 😉 HA!)
When Andrew and Maya reached out to me about their maternity portraits months ago, I was obviously excited that I would photograph two beautiful people, but I was also excited they were dreaming of having their photos taken on Skyline Drive after seeing some other sessions I’ve photographed up there. We marked a date and hoped for a glorious sunset! Not only did we get that, but we had ideal weather, which I know they appreciated after having their wedding portraits taken on a quite hot day! 🙂 They have conquered the adventures of newlywed life, and now I’m excited to see a new chapter of their life begin welcoming their sweet little boy this early fall!
Thank you, Andrew and Maya, for giving me the greatest honor of photographing your maternity portraits!!! I cannot wait to see when your little boy decides to make his big debut in September! CONGRATS!!!! So happy for you all! XOXO!
