As you can tell, it has been a busy week on the blog filled with a personal post, couples session, maternity portraits, and one beautiful Disney wedding!! Now it’s time to finally share this SWEET and precious couple today!!! I mentioned this on Tuesday, but if you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m starting to advertise my services in Destin / Panhandle area of Florida! I’ll be offering wedding, engagement, anniversary, maternity and family portraits all along 30A/Panhandle coast! I’m excited to photograph couples/families/weddings on the beach at sunset! If my Virginia couples wanted beach portraits with the sun over the water, we were limited to sunrise on the east coast. Down in Destin though, not only do we have the option of sunset portraits over the Gulf, but we have the bluest water and the whitest sand! It’s absolutely dreamy, especially at sunset!!! For Andrew and Mel’s session, we didn’t have a sunset, but the next event I photograph down there, I’ll make sure I talk to the Big Guy about exposing some beautiful rays of glowy light over the water!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Also, if you’re wondering why I’m starting to take on business down in Florida, HERE is a post I wrote recently why my heart is 1,000 miles away. <3 Again, Virginia, don’t worry because I’ll be traveling back and forth between states!! 🙂
Alex has been gracious enough to introduce me to his Florida friends, and not just introduce, but he created/gave me opportunities to connect and start building friendships as well. I have fallen in love with the lifestyle, the friends, and the area! I’m SOOOO excited to visit again and hang out with everyone!!
Some lovely friends I met during my last visit are finally on the blog today! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Andrew and Mel are expecting a little one this November. The community and I could not be more excited for them!!! It’s still early for maternity portraits, but we can call these “expecting portraits!” Why not! 😉 Mel admitted her nervousness having a little one while Andrew is going through the first year of residency. I don’t blame her!!! I would be nervous about having a baby in general! Haha! It’s definitely a time of change. Exciting changes, though!! I know as soon as their little one comes out for his/her big debut, the community will step up and help as much as possible. I hope to visit shortly after so I can bring over some yummy food and play with the babe while Mel can have a little time for herself! 🙂 We are all super excited for them!!!
Andrew, Mel, and I got together at Wayside Park on Okaloosa Island (next door to Destin) to photograph this time of their lives during my last visit, and I’m so glad Alex connected us!!! It was also special because it was Alex’s first time watching me in action doing what I love to do! As soon as they stepped in front of my camera, they immediately opened up with the biggest smiles and giggles! It was so easy and fun photographing Andrew and Mel! Mel has beautiful, captivating eyes, and the windswept hair just added another element of playfulness. 🙂 It takes patience to work with a steady breeze while photographing because hair develops a mind of its own! Haha! But I love how these photos turned out, especially with the ocean breeze!!! Also, seeing Andrew hold on to Mel and adore her with extra kisses and squeezes throughout our short time together was the cutest thing! They are adorable together and without a doubt, will be incredible parents!!!
Thank you, Andrew and Mel, for giving me the opportunity to photograph this time of your lives. <3 I look forward to getting to know you all more in the near future, and cannot wait to hang out soon!! Your little one is already so blessed to have you two as his/her parents! CONGRATS!!!!
If you’re interested in scheduling a session, network or talk about wedding services, please email me at info@stephaniemessick.com! I cannot wait to chat!!! I’ll be in the area mid-July and mid-August, with more date announcements in the future! 🙂
Congratulations!!!!
Xoxo!
