I’m going to keep it real today — I have a lot on my plate! Let’s just say … “Tis the season!” But I’m very grateful for the busyness and excited to be back in action!!! And there’s no way better to get back in action than photographing three sessions the past week and a double header weekend! 😉 It’s going to be nonstop until Thanksgiving, or perhaps, even afterwards due to Christmas sessions, but I also know that this season will fly by fast! I’m going to soak in these memories with friends while I can. <3 The couples I’ve had the privilege of photographing the past week are energizing me for the months to come!!! I’m so pumped!!! Maybe it’s the coffee talking this optimistically on this Monday morning? HA!

I’m going to keep this “Dopes and Nopes” blog post as brief as possible because I have two weddings to edit so they can make their debut on the blog this week!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 YAY! And may I dare say that I didn’t proof read this blog post? SORRY in advance. 😉 HA!

Dope #1

I received a surprise in my mailbox!!! I’ve been talking about reading Bob Goff’s “Love Does” for YEARS, and Alex has only heard me talk about it for months after realizing he once owned the book. 😉 HA! I met Bob Goff (what up, Mr. G!) years ago at the Pursuit 31 Conference, and immediately fell in love with him, his stories, his sense of humor, his attitude on life, his love and enthusiasm for God. He really is one of the most influential role models we have the privilege of knowing in our lifetime. If you haven’t listened to him talk, it’s a must! 🙂 This was going to be my next book purchase, and somehow, I bought his newest book (Everybody Always) before this one! But Alex knew how to lift my spirits last week when I was getting a little overwhelmed. Gosh, I’m the luckiest!!! <3 I promised I was going to keep this blog post brief, and somehow, I find a way to keep typing … 😉 But I really am SO EXCITED to start reading this book!!! AND I recently found a “Love Does” devotional on the Bible app!!!

Dope #2

While we are talking about books … I just finished reading this incredibly hilarious Christian book, “For the Love” by Jen Hatmaker!!! My friend, Charity lent it to me, and I’m so glad she did because Jen’s sense of humor will make you laugh out loud! It was one of my favorite reads this year, for sure. 🙂 I highly recommend it!! Despite the fact that it has been a super busy week/weekend, I managed to squeeze in some coffee shop work and book reading time. 🙂 Things that make my days a little brighter during the hectic season!

Dope #3

I really enjoy the fall season. OKAY… Actually, I LOVE the fall season!!!! Didn’t it seem like fall briefly came by this past week to say, ‘hi!’ Maybe not yesterday… I was a sweat mess as I ran around yesterday’s wedding. 😉 HAHA! But I’m so excited for pumpkins, sweaters, boots, pumpkin spiced lattes, apple pie, the Holiday season, scarves, changing leaves, and so much more!!!!

Even though I spent a LOT of time behind my computer at home, I also love the places my job takes me!!! I even get to make friends with wildlife. 😉

Before Saturday’s wedding, I REALLY appreciated a good, relaxing morning. <3 It was so necessary, especially since the day before wasn’t as ideal as I had hoped (check out the “Nopes” section below to find out why!)! Also, I’m grateful for incredible couples!!!! <3 David and Michaela gave me the sweetest gift after their wedding! I cannot wait to open this bottle of Rose, and I’ll forever cherish their thoughtful written words of gratitude. <3

I conquered a double header wedding weekend!!! YAY!!! My body hurts a little bit today from the hustle and bustle, but gosh … It was worth it because I produced photos I’m excited to share with them and you all this week!! <3 I LOVE MY COUPLES!!!

Time with my fur babes!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Pixie loves a good snuggle sesh every morning and evening! HAHA! I also love the way Ollie looks at me during our morning/afternoon/evening walks together!!! Look at that smile!!!

Nopes

Nope #1

There’s really only one nope this week … Which is GREAT … But this one was a BIG, BIGGGG NOPE. I woke up Friday morning ready to conquer my work and found Ollie laying in a crate FILLED with diarrhea!!! I had to put my coffee making time off to the side while I cleaned him up, walked him, and scrubbed his crate. I realized this is just a preview of what raising children is like… HA! I’m grateful I didn’t have kids before a pup because this is a good “training wheels” session. 😉 Later that day, I walked into my living room after I finished walking him and discovered fresh diarrhea… on my white fluffy carpet. YIKES. I spent another hour trying to scrub it back to white. Fortunately, Ollie feels much better!!!
