I cannot believe it has been THREE years since Brian and Courtney said ‘I do’ to forever. <3 When we got together last week for their maternity portraits, we reflected on their wedding day and a flood of memories came back! <= Good thing we actually didn’t deal with any flooding on their wedding day, although, we had a lot of rain! π Good luck, right?! Definitely. I remember feeling so grateful for Brian and Courtney’s positive attitude, and because of that, we ended up with beautiful, romantic portraits!!! I adored getting to know these two during our time together and was ECSTATIC when I found out they were expecting!!!! Without a doubt, Brian and Courtney will be fantastic parents!
When Courtney reached out to me regarding maternity portraits, I was excited to reconnect and catch up with them! π They enjoy their current jobs, love the Northern Virginia area, and they are so excited to meet their little one soon!!! π Also, Courtney looked amazing and was absolutely glowing!!!! Love that! <3 During our conversations, I saw how excited and proud Brian was to say they’re expecting a little boy! I asked if he was excited to get the little guy into sports, and of course, his response was he would support him no matter what activity he chooses to pursue… (but hopefully soccer. ;)) HAHA! Even though they didn’t have a name chosen when I hung out with them last week, “Baby Tweed” was fitting! They are both so excited to be parents and meet “Baby Tweed” this fall! I loved photographing their overflowing happiness, joy, and love they shared in front of the camera β As if their love grew even MORE!! Is that even possible?!
Courtney and Brian had me laughing consistently throughout our time together β It was SO much fun!!! Although, I almost slipped on rocks (again!) at the beginning of the session. Might be time to retire the flip flops? Good thing boot season is just around the corner. π Cannot WAIT. As we walked around the beautiful Tranquility Farm property, we chased the beautiful sun lighting! I vocalized how “creamy” the sunset was and Brian thought it was the funniest thing! Hey, whatever to get the guy laughing for photos! A sunset can be creamy as butter, right? HA! Whatever. π At times when I was photographing just Courtney, we sometimes found Brian admiring the farm animals β Maybe if he can take on a kid, he can take on anything β Cows, horses … deer? Haha! Then to top off our time together β As the finale to the session, I asked Courtney and Brian to run at each other as if they haven’t seen each other in a year … Then I busted out laughing because that’s not appropriate for a 30-week maternity session!!! π HAHAHA! Needless to say, it was a very entertaining session from start to finish!!!
Thank you, Brian and Courtney, for having me document this special and exciting time of your lives!!! I could not be more excited for you all, and I cannot wait for you to have your little boy in your arms. <3 It’s going to be the most special gift!!! Enjoy this preview of our time together!!!
