Coffee Talk Mondays

You know when things are so crazy that time slips away from you? That’s how I feel right now. On the flip side, I’m GLAD time is flying by because I’m that much closer to seeing Alex!!!! Oh my gosh, I cannot WAIT. This month, we celebrate our one year together, and then next month we reunite! 🙂 There’s so much to look forward to!! I’m very grateful we got to see each other in Nashville last month because it made the time spent away from each other a little bit easier to bear. I cannot WAIT to road trip down to him in 39 days!!! AH!!!

This past week was another long week of computer work, but I’ve been on track with crossing off my to-do list like a boss! This season has been crazier than expected as I just realized that in the past 23 days, I’ve had just two days off. One of those days off happened yesterday, and as you’ll see below, I made sure to make that time off count! 🙂 Fortunately, from here on, I have an easier schedule with weddings and sessions. YAY!!! October was just nuts. I’m saying hello to November … and all things pumpkin … with open arms! 🙂

THE HOLIDAYS ARE JUST WEEKS AWAY!!!! 🙂

Happy November!!!!! We are approaching my FAVORITE time of the year. 🙂 It’s a time for many gatherings with family and friends. Typically, that means our diets slack a little bit … YOLO because I’m not saying no to pumpkin pie … And to counteract that, I especially love to stay active during this time of the year by signing up with Turkey Trots and Jingle Runs! I got a head start by spontaneously signing up with the “Bodies in Motion” run a couple days ago and completely surprised myself when I placed 3rd in my age group!!!! When you set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. <3

ROCK CLIMBING ADVENTURES!!

My brother, Eric, has sparked a hobby for rock climbing over the past months. We finally got together to tackle some indoor rock climbing adventures yesterday … Although, I am not sure where I got the energy to do this after photographing a 10-hour contract the day prior and running a 5k earlier that morning. It was fun strategizing my way up the wall! I’m only at a 5.6 level, but I look forward to seeing progress in the future!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

My Halloween costume this year? A self-portrait!!!! HAHA! It was fun dressing up this year for a social networking event. I definitely splurged on cupcakes and candy!!! YUM. Also, I loved having my sis over to hang out and watch The Nightmare before Christmas with me and Ollie! She not only helped pass out candy, but dog treats to any dog passing by my place. Haha!

BEAUTIFUL WEDDING WEATHER

I’ve experienced a lot of rainy weddings this past year … Well, actually, all of my years of photographing weddings … But the weather lately has been so good to us. 🙂 I pray the same moving forward with the remainder of my wedding season into next year (and the years after!!! ;))!

Dark Sky App

The Dark Sky App isn’t just my favorite app to use on wedding days, it’s also great for when I need to time Ollie’s walks so I don’t end up with a wet, smelly dog!! 🙂

EARLY CHILLY MORNINGS

Now, I cannot say that I love a chilly morning because getting out of bed is the hardest part… BUT, I love soaking in my surroundings while taking Ollie on a nice walk. 🙂

OUR DEPENDENCY ON OUR PHONES

Holy cow. I’ve noticed my patience with technology has soared over the years. Remember the days of printing MapQuest directions or limiting your text messages so you didn’t get charged additionally for going over or the conference calls with friends through landline phones (do people still have landline phones these days?)? As you might remember, I couple weeks ago, I experienced a day without my cell phone on a pretty important day I needed it … Well, on Thursday, my touch screen on my iPhone X wasn’t working at all. I couldn’t make calls or anything … EXCEPT!!! Again, thanks to my Apple Watch (oh my gosh, I need to be a salesperson for this product because it has SAVED my butt in so many occasions), I was able to make calls and send text messages!

So moral of the story, if you have an Apple phone, ask for an Apple Watch for Christmas. For real. Also, to do a soft reset on your iPhone X (because you cannot slide to power off your phone if the touchscreen doesn’t work), click down on the volume high then click volume low and then hold the right-hand button on the side until the phone shuts off. 🙂 It worked!!!

I hope your week starts on a great note!!! Again, HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!!!
